I also agree that Bump is not suitable for the girls. It’s good though so you should watch it.

Is that the "real life" one, with the case written by Ian Rankin? We watched an episode and it wasn't brilliant, probably watchable though but I forgot about it and my husband wasn't keen. The people they had were quite irritating.
Yes, so more of a watch-while-working than dedicated evening entertainment it sounds. Thanks :)

Yeah, we recorded it and watched 4 episodes last week, there are still 2 left. Its watchable but nothing great I'd say. I liked the concept more than the show itself I think.

I was trying to remember what my grandma used to say when her dog whumped one out. I think she used to say "louis has done a smell" or "popped". I never one heard my mum nor dad refer to the act of farting ever. It just didn't happen.

My mum always told us ‘fart’ was swearing.

They never said "fart" in my parents' house. It was very rude/ swear word.

And I can safely say that I'm sure he's spinning in his grave. It is truly abysmal TV. Disjointed, weird, bizarre characters, no noticeable storyline.
I had been staying well away from all reviews but now that I've read this, I don't think I'll bother with it.

Ooh, excellent, thanks. S will be here by then and she likes Ghosts too, so we can watch together.

Has anyone watched Impeachment? It's a Ryan Murphy production, he did similar ones about OJ Simpson and the murder of Gianni Versace. This is about Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky, the last episode is on tonight and I recorded it all, then watched it over the last week or so. Its really good, Beanie Feldstein who plays Monica is excellent and Clive Owen is BC, and it's hard to remember that it's Clive Owen as he looks so different.

Yes, I've been watching it religiously - Clive Owen and Sarah Paulson's acting (and make up!) are tremendous. Have you watched either of the other two series? They're both very good too.

Yes, we watched the OJ one a few years ago, it was so good, and I think I watched the GV too although for some reason I didn't get into that one as much. Sarah Paulson is so good, I loved her as Marcia Clarke in the OJ series. I'm fascinated by Linda Tripp and why she did what she did, she seemed so convinced that she was doing the right thing, yet she seems largely to have been motivated by spite.

The episode when ML had to testify before the grand jury really broke my heart. When I was 23, I had a fling with my older, married boss (he was 30 so not exactly BC territory) but I was mortified when people at work found out. I can't imagine how she must have felt being made to describe every sordid detail to a group of strangers. And mainly to satisfy the needs of his enemies.

I've been watching A Very British Scandal, and have really liked it. Claire Foy is excellent as always. It's all on iplayer but I've been watching it "live".

I’m watching that too Sal but obviously I can’t watch it around the kids so I’ve only managed to see episode 1 so far.

My kids kept turning up while I was watching it too. Hoping they’ll allow me to finish it tonight.

I’m really looking forward to Worzel Gummidge tonight & tomorrow too.

We’ve just started The Girl Before (BBC/HBO) and it’s interesting so far. I tried to search to see if it had been mentioned, but the words are too common.

Edit: wendy has already mentioned it!
