What was it like? That's very near to my house, and I can't decide if it will be interesting or irritating.sally maclennane wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 6:03 pm I listened to Body on The Moor last week which was a BBC Sounds podcast, it was interesting although the episodes were only 10 minutes long, I'd have preferred fewer longer ones.

I liked it, it was quite well done. I had read an article about him before, in the Graun I think.
I was thinking about you and the time when the moor was on fire, and one of your chaps said "Saddleworth Moor is on the telly, I bet that's never happened before"

I think the cat is out of the bag since the SAM bought himself a serial killers book.

I think I've listened to that before. I'm really struggling to get into anything at the moment. I have listened to quite a few Youre Wrong About episodes, an American pair retell the history of something fairly well known and dispell some myths about it. Its sometimes a bit biased but its good enough and often interesting.

Re: Podcasts & Blogs I like
I've been struggling to find things to listen to as well.
The main ones I'm listening to are:
Behind the Bastards - I still have tons of episodes to listen to
Cautionary Tales - I blazed through this it's a Pushkin Industries production (the same team behind Revisionary History)
I've just finished - The Great Post Office Trial, worth a listen. It's 14 min episodes but they have released two less than an hr compilations which I found better for flow as I listen whilst I work.
The premise: After the introduction of a new computer system in the early 2000s, the Post Office began using its data to accuse sub-postmasters of falsifying accounts and stealing money. Many were fired and financially ruined; others were prosecuted and even put behind bars.

I listened to that a while back Duo, it was absolutely awful how those folk were treated.

I started Billionaire Boys Club (no apostrophe, not my fault) this week which has held my attention. It seems so easy to be a conman.

Perhaps we can form the Billionaire Womens Club, smal. It seems we just need to lie shamelessly to lots of people and then: BINGO.

I'm listening to The Orange Tree it's a podcast in 7 parts created by two Texan journalism students about a girl Jennifer Cave who goes missing 15 years ago at the university the students attend.
It's interesting so far.

This thread is really interesting! I’m not into murdery stuff but feel inclined to try some of these out.
If anyone is into hip hop (though the interviews aren’t just limited to this) then I really recommend Talib Kweli’s People’s Party podcast. Obviously it depends on what you’re into but the one he did with LP from Run the Jewels was really good. I’ve really enjoyed most of them though.
