Netflix human recommendations

For any Cantona fans (I think he's a fantastic actor), a mini-series we recently watched called Inhuman Ressources is apparently also on UK netflix. It was pretty good - could have been a bit shorter, but otherwise no complaints. I've often thought recently that the swing to telly over cinema has made quite a few stories be dragged out into several hours when really they could have fit into a film format.

Isolation Stories, four 15 minute films created in lockdown, are worth catching on ITV. Also, I liked Sheridan Smith's house.

Dead To Me is back with Season 2.

We’re late to this, so have watched S1 and 5 episodes of S2 just this week.

I tried so hard to make Season 2 last, but I did get to the last episode yesterday and it was gooood!

I started Unorthodox last night and really enjoyed it.

I finished it yesterday and watched the making of episode. SO GOOD. She's a remarkable actress, as is her on-screen husband.

I enjoyed the series, but haven't read the book, although I did read Disobedience, which was significantly better then the film, IMO.

I don't know if anyone is interested, but Britbox has an offer on just now for a free month's trial (then £5.99 a month). I started the trial a few days ago, and I'm enjoying it. I much prefer UK TV to US, and there is a lot of drama on there. I have seen most of it, but there are several series that I haven't seen (or only half watched the first time round) and my watch list is full. Some of the box sets are still on the players (particularly the 4OD ones), but I think the idea is to use those apps for catch-up only - ie put episodes on there for a month after transmission and move it all to Britbox. Maybe that's how the BBC will get money if they have to gove free licences to the very old.

Anyway, it might be worth getting the trial whilst we are still stuck indoors. I haven't decided whether I'll keep it on after the trial period, but so far I've worked my way through Clocking Off, and am now on some nonsense with Martin Kemp in it - Love Lies Bleeding or something.
