It's German and is about a small village and four families where some children disappear and time bends. It is very complicated indeed but is properly written and everything makes sense within its universe and every tiny thing matters (as opposed to, say, Lost). And well written characters too. Good if you want something to draw you in and break your head, rubbish if you want something to half watch while you arse about on your phone. :look:

Thank you! I like a good European drama but J moans about subtitles. I will try to persuade him to give it a go.

I think the subtitles help on this as it stops you missing important things so easily.

It's definitely better if there's two of you watching so you can each point out things the other one missed. :))

Also I think you can watch it dubbed if you want but I hate that.

This is quite old, but I'm enjoying Justified at the moment. It's very easy going, good TV.

We watched Athlete A the other night, it was so well done, but obviously harrowing too. Those poor girls.

I loved Justified and got a major crush on Tim 'I don't miss' Gutterson.

I started watching below deck but everyone was so awful I had to switch it off!

I haven't heard of that, but I do quite like a "God they're so awful!" watch. :))

I'm watching Unsolved Mysteries and it's so good, but it's keeping me awake at night. :bob:

Oh, no, the awfulness is what makes it good. I’m onto S3 now and am hooked (and am still in love with Eddie)

A Secret Love, about two women who kept their relationship a secret from their families for decades, is really worth watching.

I seem to be on a bit of a documentary streak. Yesterday I watched the Ruth Bader Ginsburg documentary (RBG) on Netflix probably ages after everyone else, and loved it. It made me cry too, which is ironic because the main advice she remembers, and lives by, from her mother is not to give way to 'useless emotion' - advice I could do well to heed. And I loved Circus of Books, which wasn't what I was expecting, and experienced involuntary eye-leakage then also.

Oh yes, I loved RBG too! I've not seen Circus of Books, so will seek that out.

Circus of Books is fantastic.

I recently watched Mucho Mucho Amor about the life of Walter Mercado the Puerto Rican astrologer. He's extremely fabulous in his capes.
