Wow. Just wow. Thanks Ruby. :mog:

A bloke with two husbands who threatens a second Wako. His employees are all ex cons who seem to have one set of teeth between them.

Another with sister wives who thinks he’s a sex machine and demands his volunteers have plastic surgery to look sexy.

A woman with a thing for cat print wallpaper who may or may not have fed her husband to tigers.

An ex drug dealer who has a private zoo.

It is absolutely crazy and so perfect for now.

I need to talk about it

Make sure you give yourself time to watch them all in one go. I’m already on the third episode.

We've just finished the third episode. Your description of the cast of characters is perfect.

It's amazing in the worst possible way. I usually avoid anything with animals in, in case there's abuse and stuff but I managed this ok because the people distract your attention from that. Only in America! The number of people who seem to have a large collection of wild animals and weapons is quite eye opening.

I love the fact that Carol feeding her husband to the cats was basically just skimmed over. Should someone in charge not want to look into that more?!

We started this last night and I cannot wait to watch the rest of it later. I had lockjaw from my mouth hanging open for the entirety of the bit we watched.

I read somewhere that there are more tigers in "private zoos" in America than in the wild, I think.

Right?

"The astounding fact that there are more privately owned tigers in the US (somewhere between 5,000 to 10,000) than in the wild (fewer than 4,000), kept as pets or in side-of-the-highway wildlife menageries." From the Guardian (probably spoilers, I just skimmed it: https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radi ... lix-series).

Yes, they quote those figures in the show. That's just the cats as well, most of these people also seem to have primates and other exotic things too which make it even crazier.

God bless America and it's freedom, right?

The firearms collection rivalled the big cat collections too. Jesus Christ.

It probably says something about my recent experiences of America that I wasn't even surprised by the guns. Imagine living in a country where the rules let you keep wild animals and machine guns.

Ah, sorry for teaching you to suck eggs. :)) (I love that phrase).

Honestly, it's a mind-blowing country on so many fronts, I just don't get it.

It makes it a great source of documentaries, though! :mog:

I know, imagine the lack of eye-popping true crime documentaries we'd have if things were different.

I'm watching this again with the chaps as part of our homeschooling programme. It's really got everything.
