Small Axe, a series of films directed by Steve McQueen on the BBC, are really worth watching.

They're on my list of stuff to watch, Rosa, are they stand alone or do they have to be watched in order?

We've been watching Sharp Objects which is on Sky. Its based on a Gillian Flynn novel and stars Amy Adams who is very good. Its quite depressing though, and I'm considering just sacking it off.

They are stand alone so don't have to be watched in order, although that's what we're going.

I've been watching Small Axe too.

I gave up on Sharp Objects, Sally. I just found I really didn't care.

I couldn’t watch Sharp Objects. I tried.

Small Axe was brilliant last week.

I love watching Hinterland so I can say “Well, that’s not the police station any more” and “Oh look, where has the Post Office gone?” until I drive MrA insane! What with that and it having parts in Welsh I do seem to lose track of the plot quite a lot! :)

Casualty is back. I usually dislike it but thought I’d see how they handled their return. I’ve cried for an hour.

There was another festive Bake Off tonight, which was great. It had Rahul, Nancy, Henry and Helena the goth on it :))

Finished The Serpent tonight, irs really good and the story is just crazy. I thought that 8 episodes might be too long but it was fine.

Is anyone watching Accused: A Mother on Trial? I'm only on the first episode but it's good/ sad so far.

I watched the first episode too, about a month ago, I think I might have come across it on iplayer but you've reminded me to find the others. I thought the same as you, interesting but sad.

In a slightly lighter vein, J had never seen the episode of Grand Designs where the guy spent millions on a huge vanity project in Devon so we watched it last night. It's quite amusing in a jaw dropping way :scrap:
