Yes, that’s exactly what it was like!

We watched it this week, I loved it - sweet, funny, nostalgic, and so sad.

Everyone was great, but Keeley Hawes was amazing.

I love Keeley Hawes, and she was so awful in Its A Sin that I felt quite let down by her :l:

I do know what you mean, she’s the lovely mum from The Durrells too!

I walked past KH's house the other day. :stalker:. They live at the other end of town to me.

I've just binged the first season of Unforgotten today. I totally loved it.

I enjoyed all the characters stories and it was fantastically done.

Season 2 is my Saturday night viewing sorted 😊

We're half way through Season 2, I really like it, I think they do the storylines well and I love Nicola Walker.

I have never seen Unforgotten, but will put it on my watch list. I’ve noticed that it’s on Netflix too, so I can start at the beginning.

We watched all 3 series of Unforgotten and really liked them all. I thought S2 was quite dark, and then I watched S3 :ruby:

I watched season 1 (the entire thing) last Saturday, I’ll probably do season 2 this weekend.

I’ve been working my way through Detectorists and it’s the actual best telly I’ve watched in a really long time.

Detectorists is very sweet. Don't Forget the Driver (also on iPlayer, also with Toby Jones) is good too.

It’s genuinely so gorgeous that it’s made me cry this evening. I can totally see links with the new Worzel Gummidge, which was adorable telly. So evocative of hazy, lazy summer* days. Mackenzie Crook is a genius/sweetheart.

*mostly.

I have three episodes left and I never want it to end. I might just not watch. Or limit myself to very small chunks.

I love the ending of the one where they find the whistle with The Unthanks singing.

Me too. What are you watching it on Pip? I know I can buy it on Amazon Prime but I'm wondering if you might be watching it free somewhere.

I love the tree. I love that the main character, really, is the landscape, and all its quiet secrets. I love that in the scripts, they specify what sort of bird it is that can be heard. The Dig made me feel similarly but Detectorists manages to stir up all that AND be funny.

Plus I have a weird crush on Mackenzie Crook in it.

I loved TD, too. I think I watched it on a trial of Britbox (free).

I don't know if it was the title, or just the concept of it being about a couple of blokes with a metal detector, but I couldn't bring myself to watch it on live TV or catchup, but when I got round to watching I absolutely loved it.

I'm going to watch it all again from the beginning. It's such a perfect comfort watch.
