These suits are so cute! I made N several dresses with sailor collars when she was little and getting the ribbon straight was a nightmare.

The dragon was ace and a good reminder that my stuffed toys are due their annual trip to the washing machine and he scrubbed up really well. Need to go back and see how that musical box turned out too.

Some of these costumes sound amazing on paper, I hope the execution goes well. Oh another dragon tonight!

Marnie and Gill don't seem to be doing so well, this week. I hope they pull off their costumes.

ETA I loath clowns.

I loved both Miss Havisham and the dragon, they were both really wonderful. Very surprised in who was sent home though - I had them pegged as a likely finalist.

Me too. It just shows that one poor week can send even the best sewer home.

I was hoping Angela would go home. Nothing against her as a person but she came over as slightly cocky about being experienced with making kids’ clothes for her grandkids, and she didn’t put any original thought into the made to measure at all. It all smacked of an attitude of “that’ll be good enough”.

Also Marnie is from my neck of the woods so she had my support.

I'm still sad about Marnie.

But it's so good to be able to watch in real time this week (half-term so no French class).

I'd love to make a parka. Big challenge in the time available to the contestants though.

I’d love to own a parka please Othy. Can I have a mod roundel on the back?

I think the time pressure spoiled several of those parkas, which is a shame.

Me first!

I'm so pleased for Gill after her parka disaster. (I liked her choice of camo. It could have been spot on with a bit more time.)

Yes. I liked Gill's transformation.

This made to measure sounds fantastic. I went to the David Bowie Is exhibition at the V&A and saw all those gorgeous outfits with my own eyes. He was tiny- when he was making The Man Who Fell To Earth in ca. 1974/5, the costume designer had him in clothes for 10 year olds because of how small he was. A diet of heroin, milk and red peppers will do that to you

Yes, make the net jaggedy! It's supposed to look like flames.

Cristian is in trouble if his catsuit doesn't fit.
