Re: Post your sleb spots
This is tenuous but undoubtedly true.
My mate was marshaling the female Gumball in LA a couple of weeks back and one of the entrants was P Diddy's ex wife and at the end of the rally Mark, my pal had to get her home. But she didn't ask him to go to her house she went to P Diddy's instead where Mark was invited in by the man himself for a beer and a tour, which he obviously accepted and spent an hour in his company chatting shit about football and the state of modern rap music.

Not me, but my secretary, who lives in Wimbledon, stood behind Serena Williams in the queue at Boots yesterday evening. She was buying nappies (and I love that she presumably has *people* to do that for her but chooses to do so herself).

Re: Post your sleb spots
A-celeb spots.
My two recent ones are very tame in comparison.
I saw Denise Mina a couple of weeks ago in M&S. We were both in the foodhall at lunchtime.
Today a scene from the new series of Shetland was being filmed in the lane behind my office. Wandered down to peer at Dougie Henshall getting directions from the production team. I think the scene will be him rifling through a bin.

I don't know who Denise Mina is, but the other two are very impressive.
A few months ago my friend was at a house party strumming a guitar, and this guy started joining in on his guitar. G was impressed by his prowess and told him he was pretty good. The guy thanked him and said he was in a band. G told him he was too and that they were doing a few local gigs. He asked how this other guy's band was doing and the chap said they were getting by. Later, G mentioned to another friend he'd enjoyed chatting to the guy and it turns out it was the lead of M.umford and Sons - the dad, maybe.

A friend of mine was telling the story of when he was in a pub/hotel for work and got chatting to someone, who it turned out was in a band. It was basically the scene from Notting Hill except that rather than Julia Roberts it was the lead guitarist from Pink Floyd To make it even worse, my friend is in the music business.

Did he turn out to be just "standing in front of a man, asking him to love him?"

A bit niche, but I was just standing in front of Sophie Bray, Rio Olympic gold-meal winning hockey player, when I got my coffee just now. Funnily enough no-one else seemed bothered.

I saw Mark Foster (he’s very tall) and Amber Davies off of last years Love Island in London last week.

I’m managing the team looking after this lot in a few weeks. I’m hoping they’re all nice people. I’ve met Hattie before and she’s absolutely lovely but I’m looking forward to David Bradley, Paul McGann and Hannah Waddingham.

It is, looking after the guests just means keeping them company, taking the money and stopping the weirdos getting near. I prefer it when you take them out the night before and have a few drinks as you get the good stories.

So Hattie Hayridge is there for Red Dwarf reasons, presumably? I used to love that when I was younger, I've not seen any of the reboot though.

Chris Hoy ( ) and Clare Balding were outside my office today. The European Championships are on in Glasgow just now and there's a big festival going on in George Sq.
