God, he’s gorgeous on the telly so I might faint if I saw him.

I have never heard of Claes Bang so I looked him up and he’s the same age as me but looks like a proper grown up

I spotted Steve Fletcher from The Repair Shop in the centre of Witney yesterday; he has a shop here so not surprising really.

I actually met him in his shop years ago before he was on tv; I went in to get a watch battery changed but he couldn’t do it, for some reason.

S spotted Fay Ripley in Whitstable, buying bread in a bakery while we were eating breakfast. There were also massive trailers blocking the prom at Tankerton Slopes at the beach house Nigella filmed her Forever Summer series in. They were filming Whitstable Pearl but I’ve never seen it.

This isn't a celeb spot, per se, but I'm tickled pink to be doing a week's 'Start Your Own Cafe' course at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork. The Allen family are very hands-on with the teaching and general running of the courses. Darina showed me to my room, when I arrived on Sunday! Rory O'Connell and Rachel Allen do all our cookery demos. I'm a bit star-struck. They're all lovely and, if anyone is ever thinking of doing a cookery course, Ballymaloe is worth every cent.

I did wonder when you said Ballymaloe if it was the one and same. I have one of her books, I think. Or, I photocopied a load of recipes out of it and gave it to my mum.

Paul A.Young was on our flight to New York last week. The cabin crew were very excited to meet him and brought him and his entourage free champagne/prosecco. I was surprised to see him in Economy!
