I have no good suggestions.

Finished Disobedience by Naomi Alderman which I really enjoyed. Orthodox Judaism still fascinates me.

Now for Richard Osman. :spin:

Disobedience is a brilliant book, I loved it.

I do think mock book club works as the book club is the thing, but I also don’t actually care enough to argue for it as a title. I was trying to help avoid “Beab’s Book Burblings 2023: A Thread”. ;)

I see that Rachel Weisz bought the rights to it, I'd love to see it on screen. Which reminds me that I want to read Life After Life so I can watch it on iPlayer.

Mock Book-Club?

I have read my 100 now. I have Osman on order but it won't come until March. I'm uninspired by my other library reads so I might push the boat out and buy something.

I've managed 39 books this year, my target was 30.

I'm quite pleased with that. I am about a quarter of the way through The Twyford Code but don't think I'll manage to finish it in time to make it 40 books.

There’s no way I’ll finish my current book by Saturday to hit 63. I opened it & groaned at the tight, tiny font. It’s a biography of DH Lawrence, Burning Man.

An ex colleague was adamant her grandfather had been romatically involved with DH Lawrence. Love letters were found when her grandfather died.

It’s entirely possible!

I read The Golden Couple which was an average thriller. Now reading Tarnished by Julia Crouch about a girl brought up by her grandmother as her mum died and dad's whereabouts unknown. Staring to look like dad involved with some dodgy business.

I read Carrie Soto yesterday. It wasn’t her best. I’m now reading the newest Rachel one by Marian Keyes which is good.

Finished The Bullet That Missed. Easy reading at its finest, that.

Now for Life After Life.

I read The School for Good Mothers yesterday. It was very good, but also enraged me a lot.

I am trying to finish my last book of the year (an NK Jemisin) but it’s surprisingly long and I’m only 40% through it!

My 40th book (The Twyford code) is annoying me a bit but I am over 60% through it so I think I might finish it before the end of the year.

I finally finished the new Strike book which has taken me forever. I’m now on 98 for the year, I’m about 60% through my current kindle book so I’m going to have to knock off an Agatha Christie tomorrow after my sister goes.

I think it's my book of the year.
