I've just finished Lethal White months and months after I bought it. I don't think it was as good as the others but I did enjoy it.

I read Jetsetters on kindle - apparently Reese Witherspoon bought the rights to make into a film - might be better as a film - a bit of old tosh really

I loved Bel Canto. I’m on a Giordano Bruno now.

I’d been debating this recently so this is good to know.

I’m reading The Whisper Network a billion years late and really enjoying it.

I also finished Clean by Juno Dawson (it’s a YA book) which was good and The Wives by the Devil Wears Prada woman. I think it’s called something else in the UK. Anyway it was ok.

I've finished The Mirror and the Light a couple of days ago but have put my thoughts onto the relevant thread.

I'm now on The Secret Commonwealth which I am absolutely loving so far - I didn't enjoy La Belle Sauvage that much (I found it a bit meandering and never really got hooked) so I was a bit cautious about starting it, but so far it's absolutely cracking and I'm very pleased to be back with Lyra.

I am still in mourning for Crumb. I have distracted myself with A Judgement in Stone by Ruth Rendell and Grandmothers by Sally Vickers. I am now on Blood and Beauty by Sarah Dunant, about the Borgias.

Oh, I like Sarah Dunant - the only one I've read is Sacred Hearts, but she's on my list of novelists-I-must-read-more-from.

It's the second one about the Borgias I've read. I have become rather fond of Lucretia, which is not something I ever expected to say!

If you like her she's just done a lecture on Renaissance Art which can be accessed here:

In the last week I have read 3 books:

A Spot of Folly - Ruth Rendell - short stories a bit dated but still a very good read if you like crime stories
Sleep No More: Six Murderous Tales - PD James - as above slightly dated by good yarns
The Whisper Man - Alex North - thriller again with some really good twists.

I loved Whisper Man, it was really a good example of its genre.

I’ve read a ton but mostly 99p kindle bargains. I read Blood Orange for book club though, I found it quite gripping but everyone else hated it.

I agree about Whisper Man Chicky - I was not sure when I saw the blurb but it was recommended by James O'Brien on LBC and so as it momentarily appeared on Kindle 99p a few weeks ago I snapped it up. I still put it off though and then yesterday I thought I would give it a go and sure enough
I read through the evening and then picked it up again this morning and finished just before my post.

I read Blood Orange a few weeks ago and I also really liked it.

I've read Blood Orange as well and enjoyed it.

I finished The Secret Commonwealth and absolutely loved it - I can't wait for the third one to be published now.

I'm a few chapters into Such a Fun Age for book club and enjoying it so far.

I have had a load of Kindle Unlimited crap - but I got Here To Stay by Mark Edwards, whose books are always preposterous but I can't help enjoying them somehow.

I am on In the Dark by Loreth Ann White which is surprisingly good; it's a Kindle freebie, a reworking of And Then There Were None (which coincidentally I read last week as another Kindle freebie!).

I’ve no attention span to read but I managed to finished Prophecy. Bruno gets bopped on the head a lot.

Now I’m reading Where The Crawdads Sing and I can already tell how heartbreaking it’s going to be.

I just want an unputdownable romp of a mystery next.

if you remember a former turtle, her book is currently available on Kindle for 99p!

I've just finished If You Tell by Gregg Ohlsen about Michelle Knotek - hard to read, as you can imagine. I also tried Ritual by David Pinner as it was loosely the inspiration for The Wicker Man but it was rubbish so I didn't bother.
