It was really good.

I should mention that it contains some stressful pregnancy-related stuff, so some people may wish to avoid. It’s only one aspect of the story though.

Ive just finished Where the Crawdads Sing and it was amazing. My book of the year so far.

I have Crawdads on reserve due to the comments on here.

Chris Brookmyre - Fallen Angel. Good page turning thriller, not one of my favourites of his but a fast read.

I started The Switch by Beth O'Leary. I have given up at 18%. I struggled through a previous book of hers and have now decided that she's just not my cup of tea.

The Flatshare? Utter mindless obvious nonsense but the audio version got me through two long coach journeys recently.

I thought the Flatshare wasn't bad at all.

I have just read the new Aisling one which I really liked.

The First Date by Zoe Stoneley. Very predictable and mindless but in a good way and perfect if you just want to read something without having to concentrate on plot.

After mming and aahing, I have decided I want to reread both Wolf Hall and Bring Up The Bodies before I embark on The Mirror & The Light, so I have started Wolf Hall again. I have 3 other library books which need to go back, so I'm reading like fury. I just finished a Laura Lippmann which was OK - After I'm Gone - but not as good as the others of hers that I have read. I also read 'Twas the Nightshift Before Christmas by Adam Kay.

I've just finished All About Us by Tom Ellen. I do love a time travel /live my life differently book.

I did too. I read it straight after The Testaments and thought anything would be rubbish after that, but it might well be the most beautifully written book I've ever read.

I finished Crawdads recently too and it was so beautiful. It was so sad but uplifting if that makes sense? I also read Daisy Jones & The Six which was very different but also good.

I've just finished Love Is For Losers by Wibke Brueggemann. Written in dairy format by a 15 year old girl who is cross that love has turned her best friend into an idiot and she vows to never fall in love.

I've just finished American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins. It's a thriller about a woman and her 8 year old son fleeing to the US from a cartel in Mexico.

I did really enjoy it and thought it was very readable, thrillery and well written. I just struggled a bit with reading a thriller at the moment given how uncertain everything is.

I've just finished So You Had To Build A Time Machine by Jason Offutt.

Yet more time travelling for me. 4 stars on Goodreads.

I just can't stop reading at the moment. Not a bad thing and it shows that I'm feeling better.
I've just finished The Lonely Fajita by Abigail Mann. Nice and fluffy. 3 stars on Goodreads.

I've just finished Master Class (or Q) by Christina Dalcher

Set in the not too distant future, Everyone is judged on their IQ points as much, actually probably more, than sex, colour etc. What happens when a woman teaching in an elite school, married to a member of the education board, has a child who suddenly scores way lower than expected on a school test.

Loved this. 4 stars on Goodreads.
