I love a good poppy shot, but those sort of poppies drop off after about 48 hrs, so its not really an enduring feature of the house!

I am spending my time written off work browsing for property to buy and have been singing that Ikea ad 'Chuck out that chintz' every time I see this one http://www.immoweb.be/en/Buy.estate.cfm ... g=N#onglet

He was probably just so pleased he managed to capture its fleeting presence :))

The house is not at all bad, and the garden is a nice space, but since when does it cost £625k for a 3 bed semi in Woking :faint:

Hopefully you can still just about see the photos of this house:

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for ... 75549.html

It was shared on my facebook feed by a number of people I went to school with as it is located in the small town I grew up in - totally not the sort of place you would expect that kind of decor

I am always astounded that people like that stuff.

And, by no means the worst picture, but all the pillows on the bed made me properly snort.

You must have to spend hours a day cleaning in a place like that. Imagine the dust and cobwebs and hair balls that would accumulate in about 48 hours :faint:

I know, right! I can barely be bothered to dust the one candle I have

Liv - those cushions are silly. What do they do with them all at nighttime?

Dear God! I'm not averse to a bit of clutter; but that if several steps too far.

I actually have that flat on the list of ones I want to go and see with a view to buying, though it's very early days in the process. I'm hoping that everyone else is put off by the sheer amount of stuff.

I think you'd be in with a good chance, a lot of people seem unable to see past basic decor (although you would also have to redecorate I presume). It has wonderful light and is (I think!) actually very spacious.

I think you have a good chance, too. I wonder what the ceiling damage is from in picture 8, though? And good God, the yellow hardware in the kitchen.

It would take a lot of fixing up/redecorating, but you could really make it your own then. I would buy it.

Perhaps it's one of those illusions that you have to look at sideways with one eye shut before it springs into view.
