As you stroll to the end of the road the world opens up. Here you will find High Road shops. Iceland and Lidls are your convenience stores!

It probably took you five minutes or so to get to the station for your commute to work but the real pleasure is jumping on a bus from the end of your road where you can take a trip to Asda in Beckton, Wanstead Flats in Forest Gate, Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford and even Tower Bridge!

East Ham must be one of the convenient places in East London. It is not just the area. As you open the door to your flat, you feel the warmth cascade over you as you step over the mat into your home! First you escape into the kitchen to prepare a culinary feast and after satisfying your hunger you run a large bubble bath to wash away the strains for the day.

Nothing could have prepared you for how fulfilled you would be by owning your own home in such a great location.

This is fantastic, knowing East Ham as I do

Also is it that they can't turn their heating off? Well at least they will be toasty as they wash away their strains.

The house I grew up in still has a blue bathroom suite - it's a navy colour. I think they might come back into fashion someday.

I grew up in houses with olive bathroom suites, I'm oddly fond of them. And yes, I expect they will come back into fashion again at some point.

I'm sure I saw somewhere (here?) that coloured suites sell really well in rec yards.

Gosh, this is a real mansion, in an area popular with top footballers too. I wonder if it belongs to a famous footballer? If only there was some clue in the decor...

People rarely know how to furnish large living rooms, so just buy lots of armchairs!

I agree - I think rooms can be just too big. You need to have a good eye for furnishing such a large space.

You're not kidding that it's in need of total refurbishment but the zombie kitty on p6 is of particular note. If you're going to have pictures of things with eyes on your bed linen, dressing the bed properly is quite important

That house is Brighton looks like it should be on Extreme Hoarders. Poor house.

It would be a lovely place if it was empty and clean with new windows, though the shower room downstairs and no loos upstairs might put people off. Poor neglected house.

The footballer's house is brilliantly awful, but I do like the dressing rooms.

You know it doesn't bode well when the first two photos are the view from the window and a random collection of pots in a badly kept garden.
It will be lovely once it's been renovated though!
