I think it's a mirror, Tab. It took me ages to work it out.

Oh yes! My brain couldn't process that at all.

The off-centre fireplace in owl room would drive me bananas.

OH, yes, that makes sense. A mirror and a massive projector TV thingy.

I was wondering if it was a widescreen tv, paired with a wall projector, both showing the same feed? Becauser the seat layout makes it look like you and your guests can watch a movie while sitting at a 90 degree angle to each other (awkward! ).

I'm definitely in the buy it and rebuild camp, the grounds are amazing!

ETA: Actually no, I have looked at the picture again, and you're right, the mirror is reflecting the projection. And from the cushion layout it looks ike you are meant to recline on the chairs to watch the screen. Cinema room, budget-style :snooty: :))

I do love this house - the outside is a chocolate-box image (it's even called Poppy Cottage) but it hides a rather more... eccentric interior.

My particular favourite is the bathroom with the hanging chair and the religious icons to look down on you whilst you're in the bath. I love those hanging rattan chairs, but not placed so you can talk to someone who's on the loo. :woteva:

That is a very colourful abode. Some likes to "hang things".

OMG! What is with all the ceramic (? I hope) animal heads?! And pompoms over the dining table. Too much stuff to comment on

This doesn't compare to that weirdness but: I get the strongest feeling that this person's favourite colours is...black. :woteva: I could just about go with the kitchen but the black duvet cover and bathroom of eternal doom would tip it over the edge for me. I am also impressed by the sheer number of...CDs? Blu Rays? Tapes? :))

The floor in that kitchen looks so out of place!

The inside of Poppy Cottage is like a less-cluttered version of my mum and dad's house.

Too much stuff full stop, I think Rebs! I agree with you about those animal heads everywhere. I couldn't sleep with them over the beds.

I wouldn't choose it, but I could live with that black kitchen. I see what you mean about all the CDs though! There's a guitar so maybe they're a muso?

I like the apothecary chest in Poppy Cottage but I would like to burn the rest of the decor! Eccentric is right, but it's a lovely property though on a very busy road.
It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.

The angled toilet in the bathroom of that black flat is weird!

Do they have a colourful collection of mincers attached to the kitchen unit?

Poppy cottage makes me shudder, and the one with the black bathroom is so dark!

I can never make my mind up whether I like island units in kitchens (obv depends on the kitchen) but this one really hasn't been thought through at all. How do you get stuff out of the oven?

From looking at the floor I'm guessing there is enough room, but still, it's horrible!

Photo 3 made me laugh. The furniture is perfectly arranged for avoiding talking to your family?! The dining room wallpaper made me feel like I had double vision, too.
