Sign me up too. Cocktails with a sea view are scheduled pre dinner too, right?!

Goat! I had an amazing dinner at Rose’s Luxury the other night which made me think of you. It has kind of an eclectic menu but we went for a lychee and pork salad, prawn toast and Japanese fried chicken. It was so good! My photos are bad as it was a 9pm reservation and I drank a delicious pre-dinner cocktail that was pure alcohol.

WHY ARE YOU ALL RUINING MY EGG SANDWICH. I was looking forward to it and now it seems wholly inadequate. :lg:

That looks and sounds fabulous. What's in the bowl with the black sesame, next to the eggs? And how do Americans say lychee?

The bowl with black sesame was a delicious potato salad. The bonito on the chicken were moving around like they were alive! It was quite surreal.

So, they say it like lee-chee which is absolutely hilarious.

My mum used to say it that way, emma. I think they do in South Africa. An alternate spelling is litchi, I think, so it makes sense maybe.

I'd do soup or koftas, chicken or gnocchi and cheesecake.

We had a quick lunch here yesterday

We had a quick pre-theatre dinner at Temper in Soho on Friday night, and I've been daydreaming of going back ever since. Really one for carnivores only, but they serve sharing plates of fabulously grilled/smoked meats, with various delicious sauces. Starters are tacos and tostadas with various toppings. We had three tacos to share to start with (cheeseburger, duck and mackerel), then a lamb chop and a plate of ribeye steak, with raclette potatoes and smashed cucumber on the side. :ready: :ready: It was absolutely divine, I would go back tomorrow. :))

I went there when I was in London earlier this year, Liv, and also loved it. The food was great but I also loved their negroni made with mezcal - it had a wonderful smokiness. I want to take D when we're next over.

B still talks about the roast goat at Temper with a wistful, faraway look in his eye :))

It's temper city - http://temperrestaurant.com/city-menus/ and I know he's opening a pizza & vermouth place somewhere soon as well but not sure where. (Covent Garden according to his instagram). He keeps posting pictures of his test pizzas which are driving me slightly insane.

Oh, that looks interesting. I've just booked a trip back to London and we're staying in the city so maybe I should go there... decisions!

I can't have food people on instagram - I get grumpy because I'm missing out. I do always love a pizza.

I really like the look of all of them, he's a really interesting chef. The new Gizzi Erksine venture at Mare st market looks good as well though but much more casual.
