Yes what Ken says, it sounds like a good opportunity to further your skill set too? (And I’m sure you are more than capable already too!).
I got a text earlier from the manager of the team for my new job saying (completely unprompted) that they were going to up my salary from what they had agreed on Friday. So that was nice!

That's brilliant Chicky!
I just got a call to say I can't have a written offer until I do pass the security interview but the hiring manager wanted to pass on verbally what they would be offering, which is a 10% pay rise on my old job. I knew putting the top figure from their bracket as my required salary was worth a shot.
ETA - security interview is Thursday.

Excellent tactic there Wendy! Brilliant! I hope security clearance doesn't take too long.

Well done, Wendy! It’s always worth putting down the top figure.

Re: Time For A Change
Yours is out there Beena.
My new place are being a bit arseholey about start dates so I am slightly cross with them at the moment. It's mainly me being unreasonable, I want to finish off a project which concludes in mid-May and then have two weeks between roles as a break (which includes a long weekend for my dad's 70th celebrations) which takes it to 3.5 months notice) but they are insisting on 3 months. It's doable but means I have to go straight between roles and then have annual leave in my first two weeks which I was hoping to avoid. Ah well. I've said I can start when they want me to as long as I can have the time off for my dad's 70th so I hope they are reasonable about that!

Hope so, Chick!
Lora, it’s doing admin for people who don’t want the overheads of hiring someone full time. I invoice people for my time and everything now. I’m completely in charge of how and when I work which feels ace. If I can make some actual money and try and take some pressure off T then that would be even better.

That sounds brilliant, and you must be very efficient to just come in and pick it up. Good luck with it; I expect you will soon be keeping T in the manner to which he's accustomed. ;)

On the plus side though Chicky, you'd get paid for the time off? :))
