This week’s Hali Sughes column overly influenced me this morning and while Chunk was at gymnastics I bought The Sanctuary jelly and S&G Sugar Crush 3-in-1 body lotion.

I just can't get on with The Sanctuary - their stuff seems to itch/eczema me which is a shame as I often look at their stuff and then realise it is The Sanctuary.

It affects my skin badly too.

I haven’t used their stuff for a long time.

I’ve just bought the new(ish) Emma Hardie cleansing gel as my balm has almost run out. I don’t think anything can ever beat the balm, but I still have the urge to try the gel. I hope I’m not being foolish :)).

I didn't realise the actual Sanctuary in Covent Garden closed years ago!

It smells amazing! (The balm I mean.)

The Sanctuary stuff makes my skin sting, too. I thought it was ginger, but I can't find that in the ingredient list.

The stuff I’m talking about isn’t the standard Sanctuaey scent, i find that’s irritating too.

This is what I bought: https://www.boots.com/sanctuary-spa-wet ... l-10263336

I bought the M&S Ultimate Sleep cream after using a sample (from the Advent calendar 2 years ago :look: ) and liking it a lot. Between that, the Pixi jasmine oil and Bobbi Brown Rehydration Drops under my makeup, I think I have banished the flakiness :fc:

:fc: Sal. I also really liked that M&S cream when I tried it.

I bought one of the new max factor eyeshadow contour sticks - in neutral colour combo. The darker shade (amber brown) just doesn't smudge with fingers and when I tried a brush it just flaked off. So rubbish. The paler end (warm taupe) does smudge with fingers, but not particularly well. Save your money or, if you want a different colour combo make sure you try it out in the shop.

After reading the Victoria Health newsletter I succumbed to this and it's flipping great.

S bought me stuff from SpaceNK for my birthday which I ended up returning and swapping for this:

And a couple of Kiki bits.

I love how we can get more of those Sephora-style sets here nowadays.

I just went crazy in Space NK and S in Kiehls getting travel sized stuff for our holiday. I snuck some creme de corps shower oil in S’s purchase and then asked for all the samples I wanted :))

I was in there about 40 minutes trying to decide what I wanted to try most, it's great. I am already thinking I need a full-sized goat's milk cleanser.

One of the things I got in SpaceNK was the Oskia gel cleanser - it was the only decent travel sized cleanser in the shop. But I love it so much! I’ll definitely buy a full size when I get home.

It’s so nice! The full-size one is even better because it’s in an airtight pump :flirt:. (Are you putting it on a dry face first?)

I am putting it on a dry face but I didn’t bring any cloths with me because it said it was a gel. It washes off ok but is it better to use it with a cloth?

That’s how I’ve always used it. No cloth.

I’m thinking of stocking up on the lovely Herbivore jasmine green tea spritz that Ella sent me while Cult Beauty have 20% off.
