Hark the herald angels beak
Evening. I am trying to get into the Christmas spirit but I’m at the stage where it’s one big to do list. I have emailed the pub with menu choices for the Christmas Tree Day meal with neighbours and taken the names round for secret Santa but now that’s off my plate I’ve ended up with a tree to decorate in the church Christmas tree festival. Shopping just isn’t happening and the less said about the school Christmas Fair the better.
Is it time to drink alcohol and eat chocolate for 20 hours a day yet?

Evening Tex.
Old FC himself was driven past earlier so we popped out to wave.
I dropped a 20kg weight on my foot this morning and it’s now turning purple.

Wendy! How funny for the weight to change colour like that!
Sorry for your foot. I'm in bed with my back. It's like when old people 'have' a fall.

Ouch, Wendy! I hope no bones are broken.
I opened my jam calendar this morning only to discover I'd run out of crackers. I meant to buy some on the way home and forgot. FMactualLife.

Evening, I am largely ignoring Christmas although I have bought a few presents.
I have had pasta with goats cheese and roasted veg, it was really nice. I am in my PJs and about to have a brew with some GCBs. Back to work tomorrow after a 4 day weekend
Wendy, you poor soul -have you put ice on it?

Ouch, Wendy! I hope you haven’t broken anything!
I also have done nothing for Christmas except out my tree up. Must write lists and at least get the Scotland stuff sorted by the weekend.
Waiting for the train to go to work. It’s going to be hot again today so my best friend is coming over for a swim this afternoon.

Bloody hell Wendy, that must be killing.
I’ve been to yoga and came home via dropping a card at my friend’s new house. It was a prawn cocktail baguette for dinner just now.
The table still looks dreadful from the battery acid burn but bicarb has taken the stain out of the wood. It still needs sanding and revarnishing.

Hello.
We've had lasagne and chips which was grand, and now the child is asleep and I'm watching SWAT. It will soon be time for a coffee and a mince pie, I think.

If you’ve got Alexa and haven’t asked her about Santa yet, you’re missing out. Chunk was wide eyed in delight yesterday. I can’t remember how we triggered her now though.

Tell us emma.
I’m having an inlaw related Christmas dilemma. My parents are coming to us and his parents will be alone. My gut says to invite them too but my head says don’t.

Re: Hark the herald angels beak
Do the parents get on, pip?
Well, our friends who own the Airbnb we’re staying in told me yesterday some workmen would be coming today at 12 to disconnect a radiator in preparation for some damp work on a wall tomorrow. I was fine with this, I was at my new side hustle job so they got the key from the estate agent.
When I got back from school pick up, I went straight to the bin to put some rubbish in there and noticed loads of food wrappers that weren’t my ours. Then when I went to put things away from the dishwasher and I noticed two bowls and cutlery in the draining board which they must have used. Nothing is out in the kitchen do they must have been through the cupboards to find them.
The thing is, had I been home and they’d asked to borrow stuff I would have said fine :british: but just helping themselves is weird, right? Or is it me being uptight? I think they weren’t here more than an hour, not all day, for context.

Their food but used the cutlery etc. from the kitchen? I'd be a bit miffed but wouldn't say anything since they'd tidied up.
