As an avid yarn collector, I am well aware of this fact!

I've still never done any of those things, Cerise, you're being very patient! I bulldozed straight in to making clothes. PJs are a great place to start because they won't go to waste even if they're a bit of a disaster!

And I made things from my scraps (which my teacher put in the bin and I retrieved) today all by myself!

Super!

Ah, well, it’s all heavily guided but I did get commended on my neatness and straight lines. I need to do a bit more practice on my own.

And, today, a cushion which I made from an old curtain.

I am such an idoit! I’m making Elizabeth’s costume for Halloween and cut the lining out of some red fabric I’d bought. Went to get out some checked for the circle skirt - I don’t have any. Ah! I thought, I’d bought enough plain to line and do the skirt...
I’d only gone and cut the lining out of the length and not the width so I’m 2 inches off having enough to do the skirt. I’ve got to drag my arse down to town to go and buy more.

Windmill tessellated pattern on a quilt top (so fiddly, and so many times it nearly went in the bin!). The photo’s a bit dark as I only just remembered to photograph it just now.

Wow! That's lovely rosy. I am in awe of fiddly quilt-making, I don't think I'd have the patience.

Re: Sew much fabric, sew little time
Since making my velvet skirt for next weekend, I appear to have my mojo back. I spent today making some navy trousers, bedding for toys and then a tote bag each for the girls. It helped that the trousers were already cut out and overlocked (they’d been sitting there for months though) and nothing else needed a pattern.

I foresee many of them in my future!
These are based on a ‘monster’ pattern but I was using up Christmas fabric and ribbon, and Elvis asked for the unstuffed ones for her teachers (as decorations apparently, poor sods!).
