Juniors is amazing and I don't even like cheesecake. Their griddlecakes were spot on, too.

Chicago is fab, Jupiter. :hbeat:

Our Spain holiday is booked - bog standard all inclusive package in Sa Coma with Tui. The hotel looks amazing for children, so they will have a brilliant time. And there is a kids club! MrD’s siblings have been a nightmare though, deciding if they are coming or not, and BIL is kicking off because he wasn’t ‘officially invited’. Think he expected a golden envelope delivered to his door. I feel bad for MIL as it’s her 70th birthday trip and everyone is being a pain in the arse!

I’m with e_p on Cheesecake Factory although I did visit on my first trip to the US (NYC) a million years ago. I am so snobby about it that when my friends came to visit two summers ago they secretly went to Cheesecake Factory without me (I was at work) and told me they’d just gone shopping

I’ve never been to a Cheesecake Factory! Their menu is too long :ttth:
I read your post on my phone the other day (so couldn't reply) but have since watched every episode of Unbelievable :)) . And yes what view out of the police station window. Prior to that I had thought of Golden as a bit of a tacky tourist town that I would probably happen across but now it's on the must visit list!

I must admit I go through bouts of doubting our sanity :)) . But it's that or nothing really - and am mentally factoring in a night at a hot spa place and a nice Airbnb in Denver for the last three days to recover.

Are the Cheesecake Factory naysayers basing their opinion on the whole menu or mainly the cheesecake? My wish to go there is only based on the cheesecake (although now I'm desperate to go to Juniors) - the perfect baked cheesecake is one of my holy grails.

I love the Cheesecake Factory :l: the menu is long but the brown bread and the cheesecakes are amazing. I’m going back today for round 2. One more of caution is that they have put all their calories on their menu now though and one piece of cheesecake is A LOT.

You must have been walking around A LOT though, right? WHich make it null and void. :look:

Very excited to hear about your DC trip, Chicky.

Calories on a menu, especially Cheesecake Factory, make me sad. I'd never eat out

Yeah I figure as part of a day of walking it’s doable :)) it’s just horribly off-putting!

I’ll do a thread when we’re back. I’ve loved it so far though. I can see why emma_p likes it so much!

I'm going to Venice in a few weeks. I am imagining that gluten free pasta might be difficult?

Not at all Marth in fact it's really easy in Italy. All the places that sell it have signs outside saying gluten free pizza and pasta sold here

My mum is gluten intolerant or she thinks she is and it was really easy

So is soya milk

I think we’re going to go with the Puerto Pollensa option.

Woohoo! I suspect you will be at the pool parties, and I will not :)). (We were in Hawaii at the same time once, too).

When will you book, Pip?

I think we were, yes! Although possibly different islands? 1000% NOT at pool parties (unless it’s our own pool at our rental place!)

We are planning food, hikes, architecture tours and pool time :granny:

We were both on Maui at the same time :)). (Same here. The architecture tours do look good.)

Yay, Pip.
