Oscars chat
Anyone?
Loved Natalie Portman's one-woman dress protest.
I thought this was a v. aged Bradley Cooper for a second:
Y tu?

Re: Oscars chat
I’ve only looked at the Guardian pics and I loved their comment about Saoirse Roman looking like a vienetta / sea creature.
I don’t know who this poor woman is but her dress is strangling her and her boob is on wonky
So many of the look incredible this year though. I love Sandra Oh’s commitment to going big.

I loved Olivia Colman's hair, but not her dress.

Re: Oscars chat
There was nothing really stand-out, was there? Capes and one-shouldered dresses seem to be the things this year. I quite like Brie Larson's champagne-coloured number.

The dresses all seemed a bit safe this year. I did love Natalie Portman’s though. And Mindy Kaling in yellow.

That's a gorgeous colour. Reminds me of Michelle Williams' dress when she attended with dear Heath.
Sandra Oh is SO great. Apparently she's been featured on worst dressed lists, which shows that people know nothing.

Oh, I didn’t care for Regina’s look but loved Cynthia Erivo’s! (The white one above). My favourites were Rebel Wilson and Sigourney Weaver.

Re: Oscars chat
Finally an Oscars thread! It is a novelty to watch it live but I do enjoy dissecting the looks.
I loved Brie Larsson, and Sandra Oh, even though ruffles are not my thing. Great statement though. I wanted to love Cynthia - and she looked striking, but it seemed to be trying a bit too hard? Perhaps not surprising, very much the long shot despite two nods.
Other good frocks were Sigourney’s, and I quite like Kristen Wiig’s lasagne number. Florence Pugh’s teal layers were very pretty. I also liked Janelle Monae’s sparkly A line and LOVED Maya Rudolph’s flaming orange sequined draped Valentino number. Ugh, I need that in my life.
Could not abide Saoirse’s, though. WTF? The lilac skirt bit was mad. I’ll take the vienetta waves any day! Also not a fan of Billie Eilish’s look though I’m guessing she was most comfy celeb, so fair enough.

Maya is just so cool. She looks great. I’d never be able to carry that off!
I loved Rachel Zoe’s dress from the Vanity Fair party too.

Kerry Washington looks fantastic - like an Egyptian queen! And Rachel Zoe's dress is lovely.
Maya Rudolph really annoys me for no logical reason.

Re: Oscars chat
It was see through though, you could see her knickers!
I hated Laura Dern's be-tassled dress, it looked like dripped icing down a cake. And I thought Florence Pugh's afterparty dress was so much nicer than the green ruffles she wore to the ceremony.

Can you? I can't see her kecks in the picture on this thread? I don't know whether to investigate further.
