And they mostly look the same.

You've reminded me I need to get Conchie a passport too.
I've always done our passports myself too. That way you can take as many as you need to get a half decent one!

I took Betsy on my own from really quite young as she got a free flight so made the most of it. Just made sure she drank milk on takeoff. She fell asleep i think.
I will never forget booking the last one she had in the summer before she reached 2 and she was enormous. Far too big to comfortably sit on my lap for a few hours without disturbing anyone. Thank god the couple next to us were grandparents and kid friendly as she had to sit with her chubby feet all over them.

In Pizza Express you can get garlic bread with cheese and tomato. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but that's a pizza.

Whereas I would’ve had a job getting a smile out of this one
I ended up going to one of those photoshops at Tesco because I kept getting bad shadows on her face or on the sheet no matter what I tried, and that was on the list of things that weren’t allowed. I didn’t want to risk a mistake as I wanted to apply before end of Jan in case Feb onwards meant a blue passport

I took Pete to Max Spielmann and she was totally traumatised by it. Her passport picture is of her valiantly trying not to cry while I manically waved a balloon around and sang songs from In The Night Garden to help her look normal. It did not help. She looks like she’s being held hostage.

I didn’t even try to cajole Hop out of her crime doesn’t pay look, she rarely smiles when we’re out and about unless she’s in the exact right mood, and being propped on a stool while the horrible photographer made weird comments* about her wasn’t going to be it.
*Oh she’s a shy girl isn’t she! She’s going to be one of those girls who when you say hello she turns her head away and says ‘I’m shy.’?? Quite pleased she didn’t respond to the arsehole.

I had both boys photos done at the Max Spielman in Tesco. It was good this time as they just give you a URL to type into your passport application so it’s all done completely online, even the photo certification, I was really impressed.

That photographer! No wonder Hop looks so unimpressed!

Hop! what a terrible photographer though.
It's not mine smiling that would be difficult, it would be if they had to have a neutral expression as Topsy in particular likes to frown.

Lovely Hop.
I love her Not Amused look, sounds like it was well-deserved.

I took a million photos but I bet they still get rejected.
What did people do about airport transfers abroad? I don't know whether to just do the coach and have them on laps or to take car seats?

I’ve always either hired a car or booked a private transfer with hired car seats. Car seats from foreign car hire firms are always well battered though and they often won’t help you fit them.

We've always done the same, hire car or private transfer. The extra money is so worth it, to get to your hotel quicker.

Re: Holidays abroad with babies
Thanks. I wasn't sure how easy it would be to book something with car seats included bit that would be a better option than taking them to the airport I guess.
