This is one of the best things I've ever seen on the internet.

I appreciate the sentiment behind this, but honestly no one has a medical degree specialising in COVID-19

I know this person personally and you’re crediting her with too much nuance with that post, Lil.

Re: Facebook Muppets
I'm probably being unfair here but does this all seem like a massive humble brag (posted on a well used FB lockdown home learning site:
Hi guys, I have a HLP (High Learning Potential) son who will be 2 at the end of May. He is registered with Potential Plus and I'll be trying to book a telephone consultation with them but I wondered if anyone with any experience or any teachers etc. can suggest anything to do with him to keep him stimulated? He can count to 100 forwards and backwards (and count items out etc.), he can read money and is starting to be able to read some short words. He loves learning so what should we be thinking of learning next? At the moment we use books, flashcards, alphablocks and numberblocks.

Oh do fuck off I mean, up until now they must have been doing all his learning themselves, at his age surely no nursery is teaching counting backwards from 100?!

I give her a week before she's climbing the walls like the rest of us.
And not even 2? :woteva:

How on earth can you assess something like that before age TWO? I mean, yeah, they might catch onto some things quick but it's not evidence of Einstein level abilities or owt, is it?

I know, right, that's exactly what I thought. It's not as if many childcare providers have been set up to deal with it!
I thought I was being a bit uncharitable so I'm glad you all agree

I bet he'll get a 2:2 and be unemployed and living at home at 28.

Oh god, now my university frenemy (mature student who's a twat) has shared a FB- put a heart next to the places in the world you've been. Yeah, that's a great game, brag about the places you've been when it's basically illegal to go in your neighbour's house.

I think my mad friend has actually tipped over the edge

Men all over the world acknowledge the new Messiah and lay prostrate before it. The old Messiah slither away with a knowing smile on his face"
