Overrated

Post by Toast »

I saw this online somewhere and thought it was very TMT. What things that others love/really like do you think are overrated?

I’ve got a few but I’ll start with just one which I’m pretty sure I’m going to be on my own with: crisps.

I like crisps with (certain) sandwiches but I’m not bothered about them on their own. Nuts or Twiglets are my snack of choice.

The smell is a delight, the taste not so much.

Crisps! Oh MY. First you were kicking in doors, Toast, now this.

I don't want to just list things I actively don't like, so I'm going down the tack of things I could take or leave:

Pizza
pork Pie (just never worth the immense amount of calories)
Dark chocolate (there's something very earnest about how people like it, as if they think you're a simpleton if you like a bit of milk choc)

YES. Like, dark chocolate is the discerning adult's choice and milk chocolate is for adults who willingly wear pyjamas with cartoon characters on them. ABSOLUTELY.

Dairy Milk is my ultimate chocolate and I will not be swayed.

Yes! Plus the "Just one square is plenty :) ". Well, I like to eat lots of squares of milk chocolate, so there!

I agree with coffee too, it's fine, nothing amazing. I don't think I react much to caffeine, maybe that's why I've never been especially impressed.

Agreed.
Thirded.

I love guacamole but by itself it's very meh.

Going to the cinema. Unless it's an action film I'd much rather watch at home, and even with action films home comforts probably win over a big screen.

Of course you don't, lovely Rosa.

Innit, PG! When my grandad had a live-in nurse, when he was 94, she used to break up bars of Dairy Milk into manageable blocks and put them in bowls, giving him servings throughout the day. :hbeat:

YES Lazzi and PG. Exactly. And
regardless of the fact that it tastes like someone melted down a bunch of brown crayons then let them solidify into bar form
