That’s a very American expression, I always sniff to myself. Gourmet :sman:.

THIS! Someone I know told us all very smugly how her child would only eat "gourmet" chocolate :ella:
:mog: He wants to ram Happy Hippos in his gob as much as the next kid, I'd put money on it.

I don't mind it, but it's quite nothing-y and I do wonder why people get excited about it. The Asparagus Piss Factor is quite disconcerting too.

I’ve gone right off avocado, since everyone started doing it on toast it’s been really not a great standard.

I've never been keen on avocado, and its prolific use in breakfast and sandwich goods is quite annoying. Almost all pret salads seem to include it now.

Still never found a recipe that is missing a bay leaf, either

I have always preferred dark chocolate, even as a child. But I mean stuff like Bournville, even the really dark stuff is too bitter for me. But I would never judge someone for preferring milk! If anything I'm jealous, you get much more choice with milk chocolate, and it's generally cheaper too!

I agree with cheesecake, every single time I get some cheesecake, it's a massive disappointment.

A bay leaf gives a definite tang.

Yes dark chocolate other than Bournville is a waste of time. Give me milk any day of the week.

Agreed.
Thirded.

I love guacamole but by itself it's very meh.

Going to the cinema. Unless it's an action film I'd much rather watch at home, and even with action films home comforts probably win over a big screen.
This! I force myself to bring the kids a couple of times a year but that is it. See also, concerts. I would much rather stay at home with a glass of wine and listen to a CD. All the crows and queuing for everything. No thanks.

I hate cheesecake.

I like dark chocolate and oysters though.

I'm glad it's not just me, Jupiter! I do like concerts though.

Benny! I knew there was someone but I couldn't remember who.

People who eat dark chocolate (not TMTers) are the type that have to tell you about it, aren't they? Like there's no point doing it unless everyone knows about it.

I love baked cheesecake. Really love it. I can accept why it doesn't appeal to a lot of people though (why, how magnanimous of me)

As has been mentioned before, I do not understand why people eat chips. I will eat them if there is absolutely nothing else and I'm still hungry after I've eaten the rest of my plate, but I can't get excited about them. Chips at the seafront? No thank you.

Parsley  My inlaws love it and so MrPG thinks steaks should have massive amounts of chopped parsley covering them :(
