And here! I thought there's be nothing but I walked to the end of my path and could hear loads of others echoing around. And also a couple of fireworks. How lovely.

They even look a bit teary on the news. It's about time the value of our NHS was appreciated.

We all went out to the end of our drives and clapped. I had mixed feelings too but I’m glad we did it.

All my neighbours came too, clapping and cheering, which I didn't expect at all. It was very moving.

There were quite a lot out on my street too. I held it together until we all started to drift inside and someone shouted 'Keep safe, everyone!'

We clapped and whooped, and could hear others around the corner doing the same. It was quite moving really. But only three houses in our cul-de-sac did it, which reminded me how many older people live near me who may not have known about it due to little or no social media, which we kind of take for granted

I heard quite a lot and I'm on a really quiet road, wasn't expecting that to be honest.

I didn’t notice anyone doing it, nor did I do it. Soz.

I now feel officially terrified. Loads of stores are closing down their online operations and now I’m scared MrMcLip will lose his job.

Oh shit Pip, I just read that and didn't think about C. Do you think they might furlough rather than close down?

Also I didn't clap for the NHS as I'm sure they'd rather we just stayed at home and stopped buying all the food. Oh, and also had a massive payrise.

I’m not sure. It could be ok but it’s going to be very close to the wire. I feel sick now.

I hope it's ok to put this here - just listened to the whole thing and found it real reassuring. It's a Dr in NY doing a Zoom call with ~22 friends and family but they recorded it - https://vimeo.com/399733860

All streets here clapped. I cried too, for all the fear and anxiety there is, and how grateful I am for all the health professionals (and everyone else out there)

I didn't cry coz F was was with us but we all did the clapping. I was actually really surprised, the whole street was out and we all walked to the bottom of the drives to be a bit closer to each other (nothing less than 10m) and it was weird and lovely.

I just posted on the daily thread about this. We were facing my sister and M was talking to her when the clapping all started, apparently most of her street came out or leaned out of windows.
