I watched the first two episodes and then realised it would be a great bonding opportunity so got M on board.

I don't think many non-Southern Americans do either. I'm not sure why we didn't allow them to secede in 1861.

I cannot understand the blind loyalty these big cat owners seem to have from so many people. It's bizarre.

You could be right, it was deepest rural Georgia I was in, and a bit of Florida. :)) When I was in San Fransisco in the 90s the people seemed quite normal.

I am now up to episode three. I don't know which setup is strangest - Joe, Carole or Doc.

I don't like to think about how many cubs make it to adulthood . And how the people can pet the grown ones and have them prowling about as they do. It's like a parallel universe.

Someone on FB suggested this as a similarly unbelievable documentary if you're missing a dose of craziness in your viewing schedule:

It's available on Prime I think.

I haven't watched it, lasted five minutes but not my thing...

Anyhoo if you want to watch something unbelievable this documentary from the 90's blew my mind and supposedly inspired Tubbs from LoG.

We watched this over the last two nights, its fucking bonkers! It was utterly addictive though!

As someone said on Twitter, you watch this and understand how Trump got elected.

I didn’t realise there was a thread! We’ve watched up to ep 4, post-fire and all the lawsuits going on.

I’ve never seen so many absolute fucking nutters in my entire life. What vile people! And why are they, and a lot of their fans/customers, all so obsessed with touching lions and tigers? Every episode has been one full body cringe after another.

She calls "the most ludicrous of all the lies" the allegation she may have ground Don's body up in a meat grinder before feeding him to the cats.
She even includes a photo of a small meat grinder, saying: "The idea that a human body and skeleton could be put through it is idiotic. But the Netflix directors did not care. They just showed a bigger grinder."

This was the most bonkers thing I have ever seen. They were all complete nutters.

I can’t decide if Joe Exotic getting 19% in the Governor elections or his husbands actually being straight is the weirdest thing.

Surely the former?! Mind-blowing.

I've still got one episode to go. They're all irredeemably awful. :woteva:
