I just saw on twitter that Keir Starmer's approval rating is 53% higher than Jeremy Corbyn's. FIFTY THREE PERCENT. He's also ahead of Boris.

I think he's playing a blinder at the moment. I love him doing his barrister thing, calmly, at the dispatch box.

He’s destroyed PMQs. Along with the format. Which is probably a good thing, I think.

I wish he'd argue for an extension of the transition period* though.
*total cancellation of Brexit, I mean.

I think he has to give BJ enough rope to hang himself with (NB METAPHORICALLY) on that one, though.
Rope, noose, it's all the same to me. :woteva:

I agree. He's basically said, "well the government have said they can get an agreement by December, which seems pretty unlikely to me, but let's see how they get on..."
Practically, with Johnson's majority, there's no way he can actually get an extension so there's no point him pushing for it.

What we need is for Tories to be appalled by the agreement the Johnson achieves. Whether that's possible remains to be seen, given that they all seem to have sold their souls (if they had them).

But when they don't, or when they say they are happy to exit with no deal, it will be too late, won't it?

Re: Labour Leadership : Reboot 2019
Well, it's too late anyway because the Tories have a massive majority. I don't think there's any way feasibly to stop what's coming.

It's so fucking catastrophically insane and unfair. I will never forgive the people who voted for this.

Yeah,I think that ship has sailed no matter how good KS is at taking on Johnson. The small glimmer of hope is that we now have an effective opposition leader to challenge throughout the process, and perhaps mitigate the damage.
Christ on a bendy bus son, don't be such a fucking faff arse

I'm settling down with a coffee and a snack every day to watch him tear strips off Johnson. It's the best thing on the telly.

I just said similar on a different thread. He just cuts through the bullshit in a couple of sentences.
This just isn't something that Corbyn was capable of.
