Who got the bum?

Barbecued sweet potato, carrots and mushroom with a rubbish burger and some salad. It’s spring onion and oat fraîche in the SP.

That looks nice!

Is it sharp, or sweet?

That looks lovely. We haven’t had the bum yet but I think it should be mine. Cook’s privilege!

Definitely yours!, Squizz!

Taco dinner here - ginger & turmeric chicken strips, cauliflower with coriander & pecan pesto plus onion rings on the grill; dal makhani pretending to be refried beans :)) ; salsa, sour cream, salad and cheese. Flour tortillas.

The pesto and the onion rings were the stars.

I wish my bum looked like that.

Chocolate spread on banana bread is absolutely genius. I am patiently waiting for some bananas to go brown because I'm craving banana bread so much. Now I'm thinking about banana bread sandwiches with chocolate spread for butter and sliced fresh banana in the middle.

The bum bap has been eaten by my daughter; I made four with half the quantity of ingredients for burger buns. The recipe was declared a success so thank you :)).

Yes please share heebie as I would like to hoover it up too.

We had halloumi, corn, walnut giant couscous. I think emmap put this recipe up a while ago but I really love it and have it often.

Oh can I request the chickpea recipe to? I have a massive jar of chickpeas I’ve been looking at for months but don’t fancy my usual chorizo chickpea stew.

And also you halloumi cous Cous disco if you don’t mind? I’ve two blocks need using up.

Oh good, I’m glad they went down well, I’ve made them again since here and the kids hoover them up!

The scones have made me properly hungry! And  at the bum bap.

I followed my healthy soup with a proper dirty order in from a local pub. I didn’t feel like the burger so got a bacon melt which is bacon cooked in pepperjack cream sauce with mushrooms, onions, hot sauce and jalapeños. I only managed half.

And then lunch today was a slightly messy chili cheese and spinach quesadilla (the kids had chicken and cheese) with some leftover chips and Queso from last night.

Mr J also made beer can chicken, ribs and corn yesterday but I didn’t take pictures.

Bum bap.

My pub roast:
Chicken, leek and cheese gratin, roast carrots, roasties, roast parsnip, stuffing, Yorkshire (pre gravy). And a treacle tart.
If your back's against the wall, turn around and write on it.
