I'm off to build a barsmalex wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 3:36 pmI've got some of those 'back door' gardening shoes which are basically crocs but without holes in them, and they are really convenient for the garden. Obviously I do also wear them with a pair of calf length socks and prance about on a bar tooSkips wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 3:33 pm The women in that link are all sharing the same pair. And yes, the one on the bar looks terrible and is pulling nothing off.
I keep toying with the idea of a pair of Crocs for the garden but then I remember they repulse me. I do need something easy to slip on and off though.

I'll be grand. It is fine to leave home and travel to provide care to a vulnerable person.

We're only taking the piss because she's usually so beautifully tasteful.

If you have a garden, you need a pair of crocs by the back door. Mine are as old as Squeak. Older really, I had to buy them when pregnant because my feet swelled so much on holiday.

Then, perhaps, it is us who are wrong.
Seriously, I need Crocs to be rehabilitated, because they are so comfortable.
I was thinking the other day, as I slipped out of my day pyjamas and into my night ones, how amazing it would be if only comfortable clothes were fashionable.

I have an old battered pair of Super Birkies by my back door, along with a pair of fake crocs and old Birkenstock sandals. We all wear them interchangeably.Pippedydeadeye wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 3:58 pm If you have a garden, you need a pair of crocs by the back door. Mine are as old as Squeak. I am living in smocks again this summer. I use the "I'm a therapist" excuse to wear linen bags.

I'm just really leaning into the whole middle-aged woman aesthetic.

To be fair Crocs are the most comfortable things in the world. And I'm not wearing tights ever again. We are imprisoned by fashion.
