Payday treats?

Post by Pippedydeadeye »

Again, apologies to anyone who feels this is insensitive due to furlough/redundancies. I hope everything works out.

I have just bought shorts, which may go back when I try them on. And the treat for payday actual will be drive thru Frappuccinos for me and Squeak.

This week I booked another camping trip for August as a treat. We now have 4 trips away between next week and Christmas to look forward to.

Starbucks is a good call. I may do that with S too as she loves it.

I might buy a mixed half case of Sussex white wines. All the money goes to helping a group of museums, galleries and heritage sites.

Ridge view or Bolney, Purps?

I feel I need a treat but can’t think what.

I’m not sure it’s a treat, but I’ll be buying some deep navy/charcoal paint to paint the kitchen cupboards later. Anything to smarten up the kitchen.

Treat wise, I need to get some trainers as V managed to crack an egg in mine (she was cracking an egg over a bowl and missed, quite spectacularly)a few weeks ago, and despite extensive scrubbing it hasn’t come out :lg:.

I have been spending money like I am not on furlough or potentially facing redundancy! :george:

Mainly home improvement stuff - paint, a new kitchen butchers block island thing, copper fruit bowl and cute melamine plates for outdoor eating.

No plans for this month yet, but no doubt more wax melts and I am going to brave Ikea on Tuesday so candles.

I also want an indoor plant & pot (a small one) possibly one of those nice concrete pots with rose gold & navy to tie in to the kitchen decor.

I've bought two new gins - Mason's apple and a local mango one. I'm all about the fruity gins at the moment.

I'm also contemplating a few new golf clubs (approach wedge, driver, putter).

Oh, F'arty, your poor shoes!

I've already bought a couple of dresses, and there's another one I want, but I HAVE NOWHERE TO GO IN THEM, so I've gotta stop, man :twitch:.

Your poor shoes. Urgh. At least there are few sales on now. You could lairy trainers like mine and Ken’s. :)

I’m also going to buy some workout shorts. The ones I have are constantly in the wash at the moment.

Egg in shoes is never going to end well

I am going to buy several more colours of a totally perfect t shirt I discovered - before they inevitably decide to stop making them!

What’s the t-shirt? I accidentally found the perfect vest in Warehouse and now they’re gone.

Talk of candles has reminded me that I want a wood wick one that I sniffed in the garden centre the other day.

This one: https://www.madewell.com/northside-vint ... J8526.html I can't wear long t shirts because of my silly short body and this one is the perfect length, perfect neck and lovely soft fabric. You have to buy a few things to make it worth the flat fee shipping though.

That looks nice. My mum finally agreed with me on buying all the colours when you like something this week.

Well, I waited too long for the shorts and now they’ve sold out. I guess I can live without them for a while.

I have a weird short body too - sorry emma I don't think yours is weird.

I have taken receipt of a box of wine, will get a gin next week, orchid compost and I am considering a patio bistro set.
