Murder in the Carpark. Its on Channel 4, and all 3 episodes are on All 4. Its an investigation of the murder of a private detective which featured in a podcast but you could easily watch it without knowing anything about it.

I did like it but I found it very, very painful to watch. I didn't get what Connell and Marianne had in common apart from that they had great sex. There must have been more to it than that. Or why he said they should see other people or she said it.
Well that was kind of the whole point. They had this amazing connection between them but not much else in common because they came from such different backgrounds, and they were too immature to make it work. It was proper first love angst :))

Has anyone started watching Mrs America (BBC) yet? Cate Blanchett being excellently nuanced as usual.

Ha!

The first episode is a bit slow to get going but by the end of it I was hooked.

Ooh, I heard someone :vague: saying that it was dreadful. A feminist thinker. But I can't remember who she was. That's a helpful post.

Yes! I started on Wednesday but have only seen two so far but I really enjoyed it. Cate Blanchett is so good in it. I also LOVE Rose Byrne so much. Her hair in it though

It's great! We're two episodes in. I didn't know anything about the ERA and this part of American history generally, which I should probably not admit to. I mean, I knew who Gloria Steinem is, but that's about it.

It reminds me slightly of Feud, which I also loved.

I kind of want to watch Miracle Workers: Dark Ages On Sky, but I’m resisting because of Daniel Radcliffe’s recent woke tittery.

Yes!! Mine did kick in for the first episode but I hadn't noticed as I still haven't finished the Hannah B season of Bachelorette because she's getting on my nerves, but I started ep 1 last night (but only managed about 30 minutes). SO MUCH potential. Demi! Cam! The two women that hated each other from Colton's season! Chris motherfucking Bukowski!

Oh no! It does feature the most evil of all suitors. Though I don't know what becomes of him yet.

Did anyone watch the BBC2 programme about Rupert Murdoch last night? It was really interesting although also horrifying in terms of how much influence he has. Its also fascinating if you watch Succession as you can totally see how much of that was based on the family.

Have we all watched I May Destroy You yet? (iplayer). Please jump to it sharpish if you haven't, thank you.

(Michaela Coel, comedy/drama - ie drama with some levity - about the aftermath of a sexual assault. It deals with an awful lot of nuance and grey area between "good" and "evil" and manages all this with a light touch and a warmth that makes you miss everyone when it's over. Also great to see a portrayal of Black British people that doesn't patronise or caricature, but just is.)
