I'm having poor-man's carbonara too next week, Pip.

I really like the one with Marmite instead of pig, especially if I have come home drunk.

I did too, it looks lovely. I really like the sound of the black tahini noodles as I love lime. I might get Beebie to grow some cress.

I ATE OUT! The first time I haven't cooked dinner (apart from one pizza delivery I think) since early March. I ordered lobster and fries, and it was delicious.

Obviously I cannot in any way, shape, or form, compete with that meal but we had the seafood memo and I made tinned crab pasta.

I love crab with pasta, and you've reminded me that I've got tinned crab to use.
We went to Crofton Park Tavern (so very local to me, reasonably local to you, Goat). They're doing some £20 specials (which you get for £10 under the 'eat out to help out' scheme). We booked a table in the garden and it was such nice food we might go back next week.

Crofton Park! I was brought up there (Manwood Road) and went to the Baptist church there. Also my childhood library.

We're midway between Brockley and Crofton Park, and S sometimes helps out in the library!

Perfect, a nice hilly walk to work up an appetite.

Back to home cooking tonight, and I wanted to show this just because of the amazing colour. Black rice and mushroom risotto with parmesan and truffle oil.

That looks good, Pip. What did you put with the pasta and crab?

It was chilli, garlic, lemon zest and parsley to finish off.

The colour on that risotto! Is that just from the rice or does it have squid ink or something?
I love crab linguine, Pipples. Sadly I have used up my Brexit stockpile crab.

I used black venus rice, so no squid ink or anything. It took twice as long to cook as a normal risotto, but was a lovely purple black (and most importantly, tasted good).

I got very confused by dinner tonight and ended up accidentally making Jamie’s bloke’s pasta, but note he’s changed the name on the website.

What does he call it now? I've always hated the name of it but it's bloody delicious.
