I thought I'd update this finally FINALLY.

After nearly a month of not hearing anything from Uni we were resigned to the fact that she might not be accepted back. She decided to take an aggressive stance via email and hound them. She came home for a few days and we had a heart to heart with her still wanting to leave. So I thought I've done all I can.

She phoned on Thursday night as the head of dept had been in touch...

She straddles three depts. Eng Lit, Medieval Lit and Scot Lit. The head of English had gotten together with the other heads of dept and they've told her that they don't want her to quit, she's too promising so she has four pieces of work to hand in and she should start reading for her dissertation in Sept and graduate with her best friend as scheduled 2021.
They've also put her forward for her masters of choice.

So she took a sickie from work this weekend and has submitted all the work outstanding and is feeling a lot more positive.

Thanks again everyone.

That’s brilliant. I feared the worst when I saw the thread was bumped.

You have no idea how relieved.

She's found a new appreciation of it all after working in a supermarket during a pandemic :mog:
