We’re going to Brownsea Island tomorrow. The boys said NO GEOCACHING so I laughed in their faces. Everything apart from the toilets is shut so there’s nothing else to do!

Re: Geocaching
We finally got out for a Geocaching day today, 18 finds and 1 DNF. It was a circuit that was sort of set out like a clover leaf so you could cut it short if necessary. We did 2 out of 3 loops which was about right given how hot it was by the end.

Re: Geocaching
I love all these routes set out to make a pattern. We don't have anything like that round here.
I got one today that I missed from an earlier walk, but only because I was passing, and it was an easy find.

Re: Geocaching
Well done! I never see any new ones popping up round here. Can you set up notifications for them?

Re: Geocaching
Yes you can but I’ve forgotten how to do it. I get an email when a traditional geocache pops up within a certain range. I keep meaning to add extra types.

Re: Geocaching
Thank you. I'll have a look at the website.
We're meeting up with friends for a walk at the weekend, so I'm trying to find somewhere with an easy trail for the kids with some caches for me!

Re: Geocaching
Do you remember that puzzle I couldn’t do? I thought it was something to do with runway marker beacons. Anyway, I gave in and asked for an extra hint. It turns out it’s based on Lilo and Stitch I had actually picked up all the information which would have pointed to this but as I’ve never seen it I didn’t recognise any of it.
