Tradesperson insurance

Post by wendy james »

Does anybody have any insurer recommendations?

P has started doing some self-employed work. It’s only casual and one day a week for a local upcycler but he starts a college course in September and he may take on more in future.

I’m comfortable enough with the financial side of things but as he’s travelling with tools in his car, I’ve suggested he gets business use added to his car insurance policy.

I’m thinking he probably also needs to something specifically to cover his tools and some sort of liability insurance.

Any help or guidance is appreciated!

Hiscox were recommended to me when I began working for myself, for my liability insurance etc. I never had to claim but they were great when I cancelled and waived the cancellation fee.

I keep reading this as tradesperson entrance. I've done it about 12 times.
