I can't stand hoids which are too small! Whats the point?!
Those of us with pea heads like them. I have got rid of so many coats after being unable to walk down the street with the hood up. A toggle for tightening only goes so far if the back is enormous. I once bought an emergency mac that had a hood that came down over my actual mouth.
I'd keep the coat. It looks warm and you could probably sit comfortably on a park bench or in someone's garden in it. Like everyone says, this type of coat will never look great.
I completely agree with Heebie and Ruby, and hope you keep it. Yeah, it looks a bit like you’re wearing a sleeping bag, but who gives a shit? It will keep you warm, cosy and hopefully dry over this stupid winter when really that’s all that’s going to matter and we’re all likely to be outside loads more than usual. I’m thinking of copying you

I think having something thick that you can sit down on while you’re wearing it will be a good thing over the next 6 months.
I am quite used to seeing coats like that at rugby matches (substitute players tend to wear them while sitting waiting to see if they're needed) so I don't think it's too ridiculous a length. And it's definitely more stylish than these
