What do you want for Christmas?
AKA my mum is hounding me for ideas, and I don't have many, so I'm going to copy YOU.
Obviously world peace, a Covid vaccine, a solution to global warming and a bus to run Trump & Johnson over, is a given, so materialistic things only please.
It's hard this year, I often ask for tickets/vouchers for things, but we've still got all of last years to use, and absolutely no certainty 2021 will be much better for events or trips.
I do need a 4 aperture photo frame (x2) for some postcards I bought earlier this year. And I'd like an aeonium to live in my greenhouse. Reed diffuser. Er... Kind of running out now.

Re: What do you want for Christmas?
Things I have thought about are:
Jo Malone candle
Moltin brown shower gel
Jumper from Hush or Mint Velvet
Nice gin glasses
Nice gin for said glasses
Hotel Chocolat chocs
This is for when my mum asks on 20th December because she's "thinking about popping into town to do a bit of shopping"
Handily she can get it all in John Lewis!

Re: What do you want for Christmas?
I am replying hoping this isn't a secret secret santa thread
I had a cashmere jumper last year, which I love but is obviously delicate and fancy, so might ask for a more robust wool jumper this year.
Maybe a new fitness tracker.
I want a new set of normal bowls (cereal/soup), but don't want anyone else to choose them
In fact I don't want anyone else to choose any of the above...

Molton Brown shower gel is a good shout - I sometimes spend our money from the ILs on one each for me and P. We need new towels this year though.

Re: What do you want for Christmas?
I need to start making a list. I keep coming across stuff and thinking it's not the sort of thing I'd buy myself, but I could ask for it for Christmas, then I forget

Re: What do you want for Christmas?
Well, I’ve already bought one gift & passed it to my parents. That was a Diptyque perfume.
From the Life Completion List (TM):
Koi carp earrings
Neom scent oils (may buy one as a payday treat to check quality)

I want a new Jo Malone candle. I had the sage and sea salt (or whatever it's called) recently and definitely want to replace it.
Otherwise I have no idea. I get SS from here and my family's SS, then it'll be whatever the boys come up with when let loose with £10 or so

Molton Brown Shower Gel is a very good shout, I love that stuff and I never thing of asking for it as a gift.
I'm really struggling this year too. I have plenty of candles so I don't want any more of those, I'm trying to lose weight so I don't want to ask for clothing. Like you I often ask for tickets to things, or my mums gives me money towards a weekend break but I've already got three holidays booked next year.

Re: What do you want for Christmas?
Which diptyque perfume, Pip?
I’d forgotten all about Molton Brown until I saw a shop in Kingston last week.
I’d like a thermal KeepCup for Covid coffee walks. A burgundy one to match my new bag.

I would like a Garmin or equivalent. I have nobody to buy it for me, though, and I can't afford it myself, so it'll just have to go on my "When i Win the Lottery" list.

Re: What do you want for Christmas?
I'm considering asking for a sewing machine or a new running watch, but am not sure if I'd actually use the former and the latter is more than I'd usually expect P to spend.

Re: What do you want for Christmas?
Our family are cutting back so I’ll get a present from my mum and possibly my sister and brother then I’ll give the kids a tenner each and see what they come up with.
I’d like the solar system necklace from here - https://eclecticeccentricity.co.uk/prod ... 5004&_ss=r or any of their other planet necklaces. The moon ones especially.
Perfume
Ukulele lessons
Snag tights
Winning lottery ticket.

The more the merrier (I'm genuinely happy to teach either of you the basics via Zoom.)
