Re: Labour Leadership : Reboot 2019
Mark Serwotka is great. I've contacted Unite and asked them to cancel my membership no doubt it'll be like cancelling a mobile phone contract and they'll call and try to persuade me out of it. I've also let my work rep know.
I will think about joining a different union. I do believe in unions generally but in the past it's been mainly useful because we've had so many restructures and the union has helped with negotiations etc. I guess I could still get employment help from a union that doesn't have reps in my office.

When we’ve had restructures the union have been involved and acted to help everyone by ensuring processes are followed, even the non-members, so that shouldn’t work against you too much. But yes, listen to ruby and join the purple one.

I've just left Unite but mainly because they kept badgering me to buy cheap energy. I will be civil service proper next year. Is that Unison?

A quick bump today that NEC ballots deadline is noon tomorrow (12th).
Please could someone who’s less of a newbie and who knows about this stuff please remind me who’s sound and which interest groups etc are to be avoided, on the basis that I’m a moderate Starmerite and anti Momentum/JC?

My friend who is better informed than me said the Labour to Win slate are Keir supporters. So that’s who I voted for.

It was postponed till this Friday due to Zoom issues. My MP has just conducted a member survey and this is what was said about local leadership...says it all, really.

Thanks Chicky. My MP has also emailed today and he’s a Good Egg, he is backing the same list.

Not Luke Akehurst because he is a class one bell-end. I really like Ann Black.
