Re: Extension plans
I totally love a crackle glass. Have to ensure they are not a bit porous though. I got crackle glass doorknobs instead.

The cupboards are matt.
I think I will go for the white ones, and probably the flat ones although the wall is also flat but I think I prefer the look of the flat (glazed) ones.

I had those Fired Earth tiles in my old house, in the sagey colour. They were lovely

Re: Extension plans
We are 7 weeks in and almost done. It should have been finished by now but the tiler having to self isolate and me refusing to let him do it, because I wouldn't accept a negative test as proof he didn't have Covid held it up. I think the builder was a bit annoyed about it but I don't care. Anyway he found another tiler and they'll do the splashback in the kitchen and the shower room tomorrow. Its also getting another coat of paint tomorrow, they had to plaster some bits today so couldn't paint it. On Monday, the shower room should be getting fitted, and the kitchen will be fully cleaned. They have also laid the decking and filled in all round it this week but it was too dark and wet to get pictures of that. Have some of the kitchen instead

The units still have protective film over them so are more matt than they look, and the chimney will not be blue, it is also protective film

God, I am so jealous That looks fab, Sal. Cocktails at yours when we're allowed out in 2024?

Looks great!
7 weekend is amazing. My neighbour’s extension started in late Feb, finished in early Oct. she was without a kitchen for 12 weeks.

Oh, that is amazing! I am so jealous of all that space and although it feels like a lifetime, seven weeks is good going!
Do you love it?

Re: Extension plans
I do although I'm dying to have the kitchen fully functioning, I really want that horrible film taken off. The flooring won't go down until the start of December, the builders said from the start that they didn't do flooring but they recommended a guy to do it, and that's the first date he had available after the builders were finished.bramblerose wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 7:27 pm Oh, that is amazing! It’s like a normal midlife crisis only with more chandeliers and foreign languages.
