I enjoyed that even though it wasn't THE episode. The waterfall at the end! And the new girlfriend!!!

The Victorian Slum House is absolutely fascinating. BBC4 on Sunday evenings.

I think that’s a repeat. It is an eye opener!

I love those 'reality history' programmes. I've seen the slum one before, but I'm watching it again. What I remember most about it from the first time is the way the 'system' forced people into difficult decisions, such as the shopkeepers who had to insist on the 'tick' being paid as otherwise they wouldn't have the rent and would end up in the dosshouse. Similarly the rent collector having to evict people or risk his own security.
It is such a stark reminder of what happens without employment legislation and unions to protect people.

It’s A Sin- the latest drama from Russel T Davies started tonight on Channel 4 tonight, whole series available online. First episode is a wee bit ropey in places (a bit 80s for beginners) but the cast is very good and it’s quite sweet really

I watched all of It’s a Sin today and it was lovely but there was quite a lot of tears.
The Bay series 2 is on ITV player and it isn’t bad.

I have binged both The Bay 2 and The Serpent this week, and enjoyed them both.
I am watching the last episode of The Serpent now. If it had been fiction I'd have struggled to believe it, but knowing that it's true makes it all the more fascinating. I thought series 2 of The Bay was better than the first series. I couldn't get into the first one, and I tried a couple of times.

There must be something wrong with me, my emotions are all over the place at the moment but I didn’t cry at all at It’s A Sin.

I’ve watched it and it made me very sad. I thought it was very well done and I really liked the casting.Hazey_Jane wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 7:52 am There must be something wrong with me, my emotions are all over the place at the moment but I didn’t cry at all at It’s A Sin.

I’m having my weekly cry at Long Lost Family. I’d recommend it for feel good tv.
