The basil seeds to grow is lovely!

How is the Aveda one, Ella?

It's really nice. The mint predominates a bit but it's a great one for if you want to feel awake. Good before doing exercise :)).

I’d love to feel awake! I feel like I’m in a permanent fog at the moment.

In my ongoing quest for the perfect Fireside smelling candle that isn't Feu du Bois, I stumbled on a company called Illumens and they have a few that might fit your brief. I'm currently burning "charcoal" which really isn't far off its rather lyrical description
In the woods above Valloires charcoal burners used to prepare fuel for the fires of the Abbaye. This delicious fragrance has notes note only of those fires but also fresher notes of the leaves of the surrounding trees and the fresh felled wood.
I have bought several from Illumens thanks to you and absolutely love them. I've got the Charcoal one and it smells EXACTLY like a perfume, only I couldn't tell you what it is! I'm dying to know as I want to try it on my skin... any ideas?!

My candle subscription this month includes a candle called Greenhouse, which is tomato and basil * and I'd never have picked it but its such a delight. Just light and fresh and delicious. I don't think its available for sale yet but it will be and everyone should buy it. The end.

* like the soup i just had! Ssid S :ella:

Burn it in your actual greenhouse! What make is it? There's a few out there with this scent.

The botanical candle company. I smelt some tomato stuff in Laura Ashley a couple of years ago and I wasn't keen but this has changed my mind!

God I love a tomato scent. I’ve got some tealights from Sainsos a few years ago that are very good for what I paid.

I was tempted by Dels herby candle but in the end asked my brother to get me a bluebell one from Marmalade of London.

I had a go on my Diptique Londres candle for the first time today and it’s so lovely. Like walking through Regents park in spring

I paid over the odds for it online. It may still be available out there somewhere?
