Lisa Eldridge lipsticks
I really want a new lipstick to cheer myself up. What do you have and how did you choose it? I want the Dragon one but it's out of stock so I am looking at Velvet Morning. The returns policy says beauty products 'lightly used' can be returned if unsuitable, which is a surprising offer. I don't want to spend money on something that'll make me look like the Joker.

I have velvet dragon, velvet morning and skyscraper rose and they are all beautiful. Definitely the nicest lipsticks I've ever bought. Cos has lots too. Velvet morning is quite a bright shade but I would say it would suit most people and the nice thing about the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks is you can put on a light layer and get a more subtle effect or put on more for a bolder effect.

Re: Lisa Eldridge lipsticks
I have velvet morning and it's definitely orange toned, it's absolutely beautiful. And as purps say either a light stain or full velvety matte is lovely.
I actually don't like velvet dragon and gave it to my sister, it's more brick orange. The pictures on the website are really true to colohr though.

I will try Velvet Morning then, thank you! I like the look of Velvet Beauty too but one is enough for the moment.

I can't remember which one I have as I haven't worn lipstick properly for about a year but I remember it being lovely quality and texture.

I earned some money doing a video for someone so I bought both of them.

Gracious, Morning is bright! Am I channelling Morticia? (Not that I think that's a bad thing) it's... bright.

Re: Lisa Eldridge lipsticks
I've got used to it now! The pink one is just a perfect pink: one I've been looking for. Will take a photo tomorrow as I have no make up and won't subject you to that.
I need a decent invisible lip liner if anyone can recommend one; I had Lipstick Queen, but that's discontinued. I see Rimmel do one but they're not cruelty free.

I love that Lily, looks great on you!
I do love her lipsticks but I wish she sold samples, so hard to judge a lipstick online.

I asked them about that, as I have the same problem - she said they offer returns for 'lightly used' lipsticks, as I imagine they can just clean up the top of the lipstick or melt it down and start again.
Will check out NYX, thank you.

There’s no chance they’re doing anything other than binning the returns!

Re: Lisa Eldridge lipsticks
Oh! Why do they accept lightly used returns then? They may as well not accept them at all.

Lightly used to prove you’ve not worn it to death & then decided to get your money back, of course. It’s to avoid piss taking. There’s no way in the world that they’re not going to landfill once returned.
I’m not even fully convinced clothes returns are being resold sight now. I know a lot of stuff was burned last March.

Re: Lisa Eldridge lipsticks
Ah I see. It seems terribly wasteful, but I guess not many people actually return them.

It will be in stock from tomorrow!
I'm looking at Velvet Jazz or Velvet Ribbon next. I need a new red.

I found them both for half price on eBay, which was nice.
