Re: Going Red
I think red hair is the hardest to maintain artificially in case the upkeep would become too much of a ball ache.

I am, of course, completely for someone going red; the world needs more redheads!

Re: Going Red
It is, I've been red quite a few times and generally gave up as it faded so quickly, it was expensive as I got it done at the hairdresser's.

I'll give it a go and see anyway. I'm ordering a dye from esalon and they do a subscription service, so I'll see how that works out. I am not known for being on the ball with personal grooming though, it has to be said.

Re: Going Red
I second that, despite being a natural redhead it is such a faff keeping it red these days (my natural colour has faded to an angry brown ). I was blonde for a number of years as that is much easier to maintain.

Re: Going Red
Red is so hard to keep from fading, I agree with everyone else. It washes out of my hair so easily. Except that one time I used a different box brand, didn’t love the colour as much and wanted it to fade

Why Zoom? There's no better time to do it than during the Plague and if you don't like it you can redye.

Re: Going Red
Well, in the end, I got brave/bored enough to do it. I did order a colour one shade lighter than the one on the first page, though (7.45 vs 6.45) and I'm glad I did as I wouldn't really want to go any darker.
So, here it is, inside:
and outside, with wind:
I had told A I was going to colour my hair, and when I eventually emerged from the bathroom, she said: "But where are the other colours?" I might go rainbow the next time just for her.

Thanks! It's quite different - I keep doing a double-take when I look in the mirror!
