Re: Juvenile Jibber Jabber
Elizabeth has been moody lately and she doesn’t know why. So when she strops I go over and say “I see you baby, shaking that ass” then pull a funny face and wiggle my bum. Works every time.
Elf tried it today but it came out as “I see you baby, shaking that grown up word for bum”

“Oh hi Mummy, we’re just playing our magic pixies game and as part of it, we wondered what size knitting needles it was you said you need”.
SUBTLE AS A FUCKING BRICK. Elvis even told P that they got away with it and I suspect nothing.

And I’ve just established they forgot the important point that they need to be wooden not metal, so he now has 2 pairs on the way.

Re: Juvenile Jibber Jabber
at least you’ll presumably get a gift you want though, from the magic pixies?
Tupac has amusingly got “it’s my pleasure” and “you’re welcome” muddled and keeps saying “it’s my welcome” when you thank him for doing anything which is just too adorable to correct
This morning I gave him a kiss and (he thanked me) and then he gave me a kiss and I thanked him and he announced it was “it’s ok mummy, it’s both of our welcomes”

That’s so cute Pov!
Elvis still says ‘for ages’ rather than forever, mainly when she’s moaning that something ‘will take for ages’. She knows what we’d usually say but can’t stop herself.
The buggers picked up last week when I said came as ‘kem’ when talking to my parents. They added it to this week and keep performing to P ‘mi book kem’ (my book came). Well, I say performing but they’re so busy bloody laughing they can barely get it out.

I'm not cute
I cross posted with you, Pov, but that is absolutely adorable. I expect it was indeed both your welcomes

At dinner last night...
J: "What do we say to Mammy for making us a lovely dinner?"
A: "High-five, Mammy!"

High five
V was having a conversation with Alexa this morning, asking her where she lives (“The Cloud”). Cue on the walk to school she got really excited at seeing all the clouds and shouting hello to Alexa in the clouds .

I was showing them a downloaded pattern to see if it meets their requirements and as I scrolled to the pictures, Elvis said “wait, was that a joke, go back!”.
It was this.

Re: Juvenile Jibber Jabber
Someone gave A a new t-shirt recently and she wore it today.
Me: "See? It says 'All little girls are superheroes!'
A: "Yes! All girls are superheroes !! Except Clara*. Clara won't be a superhero."
"What? Why won't Clara be a superhero?"
"Well, because she's very naughty, Mummy"
Poor Clara. Maybe she'll be a supervillain instead.
* a little doll-faced girl in her class

I reckon A has the measure of Clara.

We have names for different group hugs based on who is present so a sug is sisters only but a smug means I’m involved too. The rest are not relevant for this tale.
They came to me with Ella in tears because her sister had explained smug is an actual word and what it means.

Re: Juvenile Jibber Jabber
A and I were out around the house yesterday and I went inside for 2 mins to the bathroom. Mid-wee, I heard the most blood-curdling shriek and J and I raced out to find A lying on the bottom of the empty swimming pool. Complete panic stations as we assumed she'd fallen in from the top.
Eventually, she told us what happened..."Well, you see, I was running along the floor with my arms out like this and my eyes closed and I ran into the wall."
I wet my knickers for that.
