Re: Gargle Your Heart - JM workout
I would give the lunges a rest, especially the side ones. They always feel a bit risky for knees.

NMTZ done I'm definitely stronger post 1WS as I can use my heavy weights for much more of it. I was probably using heavy weights for 30% approx and now it's more like 55%.

Well done! It’s nice to know 1WS was worth it I think it may become an annual event.
There is a lot of garden digging going on here so that will have to be today’s exercise.

You’re putting me to shame! Long walk this afternoon and back to it tomorrow. My poor knees needed a proper break.

Re: Gargle Your Heart - JM workout
I'm too lazy to leave the house and walk so Jillian it is. I'm going for a long walk tomorrow though with some friends. I hope your knees ease up with a rest and when you do get back into it perhaps doing the less impact versions for a little while will help too.

I haven’t done much either. Gardening yesterday and a short walk to do a bit of geocache maintenance today. I’ve pretty much written off this week for birthday reasons

BFBM arrived yesterday and I didn’t fancy running in the cold so I gave it a go. I was a bit wary after the last time Disco recommended something but it was actually 415 calories worth of fun

It's good, isn't it! I love it.
I did a Rick B 10,000 step walking thing yesterday but nothing today as I went back to bed for a couple of hours this afternoon with a headache.

I’m really not flexible enough to do the kick boxing bits justice but even the burpees felt easy. I think it’s because she didn’t have the jump in between each one. On the last but one circuit I was starting to feel tired but I’d lost count and thought there were 2 more so when she said there was only one it was like a shot in the arm

Do you see what I meant when I said sedate? It's not fast paced like some of her other workouts but there is scope to go faster which I find myself doing in the punching combos and ski moguls, plank twists and burpees.
I have done it this morning.

It did feel sedate, it was a bit disconcerting. It will interesting so see how it goes once I’m more familiar with it.
Good luck Nine. It’s amazing the lengths you go to to avoid starting W2

NMTZ done for the first time since 1WS. It also felt quite sedate, maybe it’s just in comparison I felt like I could properly work at each move though rather than flailing about at the end of each set.

Re: Gargle Your Heart - JM workout
I think it is in comparison and I think it's being a bit fitter and stronger. I'm using my heavy weights much more for NMTZ since 1WS and fine honing each move with form etc. I feel like I can isolate more muscles than I used to be able to do - say a year ago - so it feels like I can pinpoint individual muscle groups and work them properly if that makes any sense.
I did the lower body level of FFKB this afternoon.

Well done! I’m being cautious with increasing any weights as that’s how I hurt my arm last time. So long as I’m getting a decent calorie burn and it feels like my form is OK I’m happy.

I had to modify it a fair bit for the old knees.

Woo-hoo! Good work.
NMTZ today. It was a good workout for calories but I got cramp in both feet at the same time twice, one side of my lower back during the stupidmans, my right hip during leg raises, the back of my left thigh during bridge raises and the same thigh again during cool down.
