Re: April fitness
Absolutely you can do it without a barbell. Apparently the latest ones show options all the way for both dumbbells and barbells. And the arms one I’ve been doing (102) only uses hand weights.

Great, thank you both!

I've done a 5k walk (Friday), 25 minutes run (yesterday) and am planning Bodypump today.

I’m fairly certain 114 was recommended on the LMOD FB page as one to do with hand weights. Let us know how you go.Pippedydeadeye wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 8:47 am Great, thank you both!

Re: April fitness
I did pump with dumbbells at home to begin with. I found it a bit annoying, and also couldn't do enough weight for squats etc so got a bar, but it's definitely doable. I think it's mainly the squats and back, and sometimes shoulders track that it's not ideal for, as trying to clean and press etc with dumbbells felt a bit silly.
30 mins run today.

Re: April fitness
They definitely show you everything with just hand weights in the most recent release, and also the Nano release. I used one big 5kg plate for the clean and press, and actually found it easier than using the bar.
When I started out, I used just hand weights to ease myself into everything (I am old though ) and didn't buy a bar until I was definitely used to all the exercises.

I drank too much red wine to celebrate zombie Jesus yesterday and paid for it in Step this morning. My HR hit 191 at one point but I made it (burned 512 cals!)
I bought some new sports bras yesterday too from Rockwear (do you get them in the U.K.?) and the one I wore today was brilliant.

We just gave Pump #102 a go and Ken’s right about the clean & press, but it was quite fun. I think C liked it a lot.

102 is great! It's got the best ever bicep track.

I made it out for a short tempo run yesterday but not Saturday or today. Club run tomorrow, unless I bail on that too

Made it to club run last night. It was pretty chilly but a nice trail route.
I’ve signed up for a 5k time trial tomorrow - it won’t be fast but it will be good to have something to work on.

Good luck with your time trial!
I decided to workout through a migraine this morning which I don’t think was my best idea. Did 55 mins of Step 120.

Enjoy the time trial Mojo!
I hope you're feeling better now Est, working out with a migraine sounds horrible.
I did 5k today. Actually slightly over, as I didn't want to be slightly under again like last time.

Re: April fitness
I worked out while I had the aura in the hope it might head things off. It did not. The whole day was a write off. Lesson learned.
Yay for 5km Is your body holding up ok? (It’s your hip you have issues with?)
I did a different Pump this morning - upper body 101 (everything except squats and lunges). I liked it a lot.

Step 117 today. There’s a really good lunge/squat combo in this one. My thighs scream when I do it!
