Our Tommy Banks has arrived. The box wasn't as big as I thought it would be but Gannet has unpacked everything and.put it in the fridge.
I'll report back later but I am preparing myself to be underwhelmed
We're having it tomorrow so I'll report back then.

Re: Restaurant Meal Kits I Have Known And Loved
I think 10 Cases was one of the last places I had dinner before leaving London last year. I hope it's good, Goat. I love the look of the Gymkhana menu too and thoroughly approve of menus for four, for two.
We are trying a new place next weekend - it's two sister restaurants in Frankfurt that are partnering with a Berlin restaurant we like and the (google-translated) menu is:
* From Berlin: a bottle of freshly squeezed oil from the oil mill on the Havel; a glass of fresh cheese from Erdhof Seewalde farm; smoked mashed potatoes; spring onions with lemon verbena; radishes in buttermilk with elderflower
* From Frankfurt 1: white asparagus with raspberries from last summer, flax seeds and young coriander
* From Frankfurt 2: cod with pickled Kombu algae, mussel beurre blanc and toasted walnut oil
* From Berlin: spruce shoot financier
I'm hoping it's not too fiddly to put together and that at least some of the packaging is recyclable. I'm horrified by how many plastic pots we've ended up with, so have cut back on takeaways.

I’m wondering if I can get away with the veggie Gymkhana one for G’s birthday!
We’re having Peter in the pan pizza tomorrow. Not sophisticated but the three of us can have pizza tea together.

I love the Peter restaurants. They’re quite salty pizzas usually. Have plenty of water (or wine) to hand!

Suzi, it’s delicious, but I might die; I’ve never eaten so much, even though we only had about a third of what was available. It will definitely do us two more meals. The flavours are wonderful.

Oh my god abs I don't half fancy that, especially the Berlin dishes. I have one from Pidgin in a few weeks which has a similar-ish feel.
My 10 Cases looks perfect, it is just what I fancy right now.
Fresh baguette, salted butter
Comte and truffle gougeres
Venision and pork terrine, with juniper and hazelnut, cornichons
Braised chicken supreme, peas, king oyster mushrooms, saucisson, chicken jus
Side of ratte potato, herb butter
White chocolate and elderflower ganache, pistachio crumb.

Our Mexican was really good and there’s a portion of the barbecoa in the freezer for another day.

Really good, and very fresh. The goat curry and chicken wings were especially good, but my favourite thing out of the whole box was the green slaw. I'm trying to work out how to recreate it

Re: Restaurant Meal Kits I Have Known And Loved
Well, our meal was a bit of a disappointment. We had the Tommy Banks Menu C for April.
Smoked Ham Hock Terrine, Gherkin Ketchup, Courgette & Red Pepper Relish, Rye Bread
Salt-Aged Beef Pie, Cow Corner Polenta, Creamed Spinach, Bone Marrow Sauce, Beef Fat Crumb
Yorkshire Parkin, Brioche Caramel, Pear Compote, Clotted Cream
The starter was lovely but there was ONE slice of bread cut in half
The mains was the real disappointment. The creamed spinach was unpleasant and the pie filling had a texture akin to burger meat and there was an overriding flavour that just wasn't nice.
Dessert was lovely! Ignore the presenation

ONE slice of bread? Good grief, of all the things to skimp on.
